‘Brave Detectives 4’ is tracking down the criminal who brutally murdered the victim and even committed arson.

On the 12th episode of ‘Brave Detectives 4’ (directed by Lee Ji-sun) airing on Tcast E Channel on the 29th, former Superintendent Yoon Oe-chul and Superintendent Kim Jin-soo of the Scientific Investigation Unit (KCSI) will appear and share the investigation logs they solved themselves.

The case introduced on the broadcast that day begins with a call from the building manager reporting that there was a burning smell coming from an apartment complex but they couldn’t figure out where the fire was coming from. Firefighters and the police station‘s violent crimes team were dispatched, checking every house one by one and evacuating the residents, but there was one house that wouldn’t open its door.

The house that was forcibly opened was filled with thick smoke and the smell of burnt coal, and the investigation team instinctively senses that it was a violent crime. On top of the mattress, which was the initial point of ignition, a blanket and cardboard boxes were piled up, and when everything was removed, a semi-naked body with her underwear removed was discovered.

The condition of the body was suspected to be a homicide at first glance. The body was wrapped in clear tape from the face to the neck, and the face was so decomposed that it was difficult to tell if it was a man or a woman. There were dozens of stab wounds and cuts all over the body.

CCTV footage captured flames shooting up through the window of the victim‘s house in the early morning before dying down soon after. The investigators found the only person entering and leaving the building around that time, and they also discovered suspicious behavior in this person’s movements.
