Actor Ryu Seung-beom met with reporters for the first time in 9 years and gave an interview, talking about his recent activities.

On the morning of the 29th, Ryu Seung-beom met with Donga.com for an interview for the Coupang Play series ‘Family Planning’ at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, and talked about the work.

When asked about his thoughts on the interview after 9 years, Ryu Seung-beom said, “I don‘t think I can feel it. It’s smooth”, and “I‘m not someone who pursues mysticism at all. I’m a natural person. I haven‘t been active much and haven’t spent much time in Korea, so I‘ve become an invisible person. I’m someone who pursues naturalness.”.



Ryu Seung-beom said about his current life, “I‘m going back and forth (between Korea and Slovakia). Anyway, since we are an international couple, it was difficult to have a house in only one place, so we went back and forth,” and explained, “She goes to kindergarten there (in Slovakia). That’s why we couldn’t come together this time. Now, the child has a schedule, so we go around according to that.”

Regarding the changes in the direction of his life after the birth of his child, Ryu Seung-beom said, “Anyway, before we had a child, my wife and I traveled freely. My wife also likes to travel and has an adventurous spirit about new places. I think I’m going back to my roots after having a child. Before, it was going up, but now it feels like going down.”



When asked about the changes he has made as an actor, Ryu Seung-beom said, “After becoming a father and having a family, my direction expanded rather than changing. There weren’t any offers to play the role of a father in the past. I don’t remember everything, but there wasn’t much of a connection. But now it’s a story about family. Just like ‘Moving’, the reason I chose the script at that time was because of fatherhood and motherhood. Since then, my thoughts have expanded and I felt that my perspective has expanded. I think it‘s good for me as an actor and as a human being,“ he explained.

Meanwhile, ‘Family Plan’ is a story about a mother with a special ability to freely edit memories who joins forces with her family to bring hell to the villains. Episodes 1 and 2 will be released on Friday, the 29th at 8 PM.

Ryu Seung-beom challenges his first father character in his life through ‘Family Plan’. He plays Baek Cheol-hee, a romantic who always puts Young-soo (played by Bae Doo-na) first, but who also shows intense action scenes in contrast to that.
