Actor Ryu Seung-beom expressed his affection for his wife and daughter.

On the morning of the 29th, Ryu Seung-beom met with Donga.com for an interview for the Coupang Play series ‘Family Planning’ at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, and talked about his work.

On this day, Ryu Seung-beom expressed his affection for his family, saying, “Whenever I feel tired on set or in private, I just think of my children or my beloved wife and it‘s over.”.

Ryu Seung-beom said that it’s been a long time since he‘s seen his wife and children, and added, “After two weeks, it gets hard. I’m a dad who‘s always there, but having two weeks of free time is nice. Two weeks of focusing on work, being able to use new energy, quench my thirst, and spend personal time are precious times. But after two weeks, I miss them so much.“



Also, ”I usually spend a lot of time with my wife and raise our children. My wife supports me a lot when I work. The reason I can come to work like this is because I trust my wife. She’s a good wife and mother, so I have faith in that and don‘t have to worry,“ he said.

Ryu Seung-beom also mentioned an anecdote that made us feel his love for his family. Ryu Seung-beom said, ”I was filming a fight scene, and I couldn’t go home right away. So I wandered around Garosu-gil and went in. I didn‘t want to go in with that energy. The house feels warm, but it feels like I’m going in with cold air. So I wandered around Garosu-gil at night to wash it off by myself,“ drawing attention.

Ryu Seung-beom, who opened up about his daughter Ryu Na-eli, who was born in June 2020, said, ”My daughter is the one who opened my path. It seems to open a new path. It may be coming back, but it is a new path for me. When I didn‘t have children, I lived happily. I lived doing what I wanted to do. If I lived by satisfying my personal stimulation and desires, my desires naturally subsided after the child was born. I think I came to this position naturally. When I think about it, my daughter opened this path for me,“ he said.



Ryu Seung-beom described his current activities as ‘golden time’, saying, “I think it’s from now on. I think I‘m having the golden time of my life. That’s why I‘m so grateful. It’s not because I‘m good, but that’s why I have time to be very careful. Everything is good, but just talking about acting like this makes me want to act better as an actor. I feel a sense of responsibility, and I approach it as a professional actor. Isn‘t it a good step? When I was in my 20s, I wondered when I would become 40. But now the golden time has come,” he said, drawing attention.

Meanwhile, ‘Family Plan’ is a story about a mother with a special ability to freely edit memories who joins forces with her family to bring hell to villains. Episodes 1 and 2 will be released on the 29th (Friday) at 8 PM.

Ryu Seung-beom challenges his first father character in his life through ‘Family Plan’. He plays Baek Cheol-hee, a romantic who always puts Young-soo (played by Bae Doo-na) first, but who also shows intense action scenes in contrast to his romanticism.
