● Q&A with Choi Moo-sung
Q. Please tell us how you feel about wrapping up ‘Prefabricated Family’.A. As expected, I feel proud that ‘the viewers are resonating with such a kind drama and its gentle content that touches their hearts’, and ‘it is receiving good reviews’.
Q. What kind of character does Choi Moo-sung think Dae-wook is, and is there anything you focused on when acting?A. I think he’s a man who overcomes loneliness and sadness and anger with humor and patience in his life. I put a lot of effort into finding a point where he could contrast with the kind and feminine side of President Yoon, but also be harmonious.
Q. The chemistry between the five members of the Oh Ryun Mansion, who are like a long-time family, gave viewers warm laughter. What was the actual atmosphere and chemistry on set like?A. The actors treated me like their own sons and daughters, so it felt friendly and informal. I especially had great chemistry with actor Choi Won-young, and since the director is a very kind person, the atmosphere on set was the best.
Q. Following Park Bo-gum and Jang Dong-yoon, you now have another handsome son in ‘Prefabricated Family’ Hwang In-yeop. How do you feel about being called a ‘professional dad actor’?
A. I would also like to try playing the role of an unmarried bachelor or single, but I think people call me a ‘professional dad actor’ because my children are doing well. I hope my children will grow up to be great actors.
Q. Is there anything you want to say to Dae-wook as you say goodbye to ‘Prefabricated Family’?A. President Yoon has gotten married and it must be lonely, but a good woman will appear for you too. Cheer up, Dae-wook!
Q. What kind of work do you think ‘Prefabricated Family’ will be to Choi Moo-sung?A. I think it will be remembered as a good drama where even I was able to be influenced positively by the most innocent, kind, and harmonious characters.
Q. What kind of year was 2024 for you, actor Choi Moo-sung, and what are your plans for 2025?A. This year was another year where I spent my time doing my job without a hitch, and 2025 will be the same. I think I‘ll be busy starting in the spring with movies and dramas scheduled to be filmed.
Q. Please say a word to the viewers who loved ‘Prefabricated Family’ and Dae-wook.A. Thank you so much, and I hope you’ll be happy and build a warm and loving family like ours. Thank you.
