‘Point of Omniscient Interfere’ showed a day in the life of actress Choi Kang-hee and chef Yoon Nam-no, the ‘Cooking Idol-i’, who appeared on ‘Black and White Chef’.
On the 324th episode of the MBC entertainment program ‘Point of Omniscient Interfere’ (planned by Kang Young-sun / directed by Kim Yoon-jip, Jeon Jae-wook, Lee Kyung-soon, Jeong Dong-sik, Lee Da-woon / written by Yeo Hyun-jeon) aired on November 30, the daily lives of ‘Lovely Choi Kang-hee’ and ‘Cooking Idol-i’ chef Yoon Nam-no were revealed.
In the broadcast that day, Choi Kang-hee took a fingerprint aptitude test with her agency CEO and close friend Song Eun-i. Choi Kang-hee especially performed a toe print test for the sake of detail, and reacted strongly to an expert‘s comment that the relationship between her and Song Eun-i was like that of a youngest sibling and an older brother. The two people who were deeply immersed in the test and had a meaningful time understanding each other brought smiles to our faces.
On the other hand, Choi Kang-hee, who was invited to a special career lecture for high school students, went to the school with the help of Manager Song Eun-i. He transformed into a daily lecturer and looked around the classroom, reminiscing about his school days.
The lecture began, and Choi Kang-hee led the special lecture with the notes she had prepared in advance and her extraordinary speaking skills. She said that her hobby during her school days was ‘decorating diaries’, and showed the students the diaries she had written herself and told them her story. She started off by saying, “I became a celebrity because of my diary”, and she won an award at a contest she entered on a friend’s recommendation, and she was offered a minor role, and after that, she went to a broadcasting station to look for her lost diary, she met Director Park Chan-hong by chance and was cast as the lead actor for the first time. Choi Kang-hee‘s special lecture, which was completed based on her own experience, captured the students’ tastes.
Not only that, Choi Kang-hee also went on a romantic camping trip in the front yard of her house. She set up a long tent in the yard, hung lights on a tree to make a Christmas tree, and even boiled octopus ramen, making everyone laugh by enjoying romantic camping alone.
Next, the daily life of Chef Yoon Nam-no, the ‘Cooking Idol-i’, who became a topic of conversation for his unique hustle play in ‘Black and White Chef’, was depicted. He headed to the Noryangjin Fish Market, which was filled with fierce auction fever from the early morning to buy ingredients. Chef Yoon Nam-no, who met a matchmaker friend, began to carefully examine the fish to be used as ingredients, using his own selection criteria, such as deep red gills. Next, he went to work at the store where he is currently working as the head chef and impressed everyone with his professional side of preparing tuna in advance.
Meanwhile, the scenery of Chef Yoon Nam-no‘s house, where there was no trace of cooking, presented a surprising twist. The inside of his kitchen, where he does not like to cook in any other space than the kitchen where he usually works, caught people’s attention with an unexpected sight, such as an empty refrigerator and a blocked sink.
After that, Chef Yoon went out to greet guests with his junior chefs Kim Tae-yeop and Jeon Joo-hong, and showed off his affection for his employees by quickly preparing a pot of rice with scallops, tuna, and meat for his junior chefs. As business began in earnest, Chef Yoon supervised every process in the kitchen, from checking the ingredients to checking if the guests had any allergies. His polar opposite sides, showing strict leadership in the kitchen but endlessly sweet in front of the guests, made watching even more fun.
From an abalone dish inspired by escargot to a feast of eye-popping dishes such as lamb ribs, tuna, and gnocchi, stimulated the mouths of the viewers. Furthermore, Chef Yoon Nam-no met with Japanese teppanyaki top-tier Chef Lee Kyung-jin and tasted his friend‘s dishes such as octopus urokoyaki and lobster walnut-grilled, and they showed great chemistry as they reminisced about their school days when they stimulated each other.
According to Nielsen Korea, a viewership research agency, Episode 324 of ‘All Clashes’ ranked first among all programs aired in the same time slot with a 1.9% viewership rating in the 2049 demographic, a key indicator of channel competitiveness. In particular, the scene where Chef Yoon Nam-no professionally cooks dishes such as abalone and lamb ribs to serve to the guests presented a variety of things to see, soaring to a viewership rating of 4.8%.
In next week’s broadcast, creator Lalal, who has taken over YouTube with various sub-characters and has 1.65 million followers, will reveal the terrestrial debut site of ‘Women‘s Association President Myeong-hwa’, from the dazzling office ‘Lalaland’ to meeting fans who filled the subway station. In addition, actor Yoon Jong-hoon, who has returned after a long time, is expected to show off fantastic chemistry with the MZ manager by attending the manager’s first housewarming party.
