‘Marry YOU’ From warm comfort to fresh excitement, it was a fun 60 minutes.

In episode 5 of Channel A‘s Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Marry YOU’ (written by Lina/directed by Hwang Kyung-sung) aired on November 30, the identity of the unidentified person who had been hovering around Ha-na (played by Jo Soo-min) was revealed. In the process, Cheol-hee (played by Lee Yi-kyung) confessed his heartbreaking past to Ha-na. As a result, the distance between Cheol-hee and Ha-na’s hearts grew closer, giving them both excitement and emotion.

Episode 5 of ‘Marry YOU’ was subtitled ‘The Expiration Date of Love’. Cheol-hee had an unbearable sense of guilt about the death of his ex-lover. Ha-na comforted Cheol-hee‘s heart with calm words that even a painful heart needs to have an expiration date. Along with this, a narration flowed out, saying, “Everything has an expiration date, but only I can determine that period.” Hana’s consolation, which touched Cheol-hee’s heart, also resonated gently with the viewers.

The reason Cheol-hee came to live as an island bachelor was related to the death of his ex-lover, Da-bin. On the day that Cheol-hee, a firefighter, was unable to attend the meeting because he was dispatched to a fire scene, Da-bin died in a car accident. Cheol-hee confessed all of this to Hana, and Hana expressed her gratitude to Cheol-hee for believing in her and sharing difficult stories with her.

The ones who have comforted Cheol-hee’s wounds and given him the strength to live were his twin nieces, Bada (played by Ahn Tae-rin) and San-i (played by Seo Woo-jin). Cheol-hee showed his affection and sense of responsibility for his nieces on his first date with In-ah (played by Ji Yi-soo). In-ah asked Cheol-hee why he took care of his nephews and if there were any difficulties because of it. Cheol-hee answered that he was able to live like a human being thanks to the twins and that the twins were the strength that made him live. In-ah was impressed by Cheol-hee’s affectionate and positive personality, but when Cheol-hee asked if he was burdened by the twins, she couldn‘t easily continue.

Hana was overcome with ambiguous emotions, whether jealous or not, as she watched Cheol-hee and In-ah’s first date. When Cheol-hee said that he came home after midnight, Hana got angry and asked if he was staying out all night on the first blind date, and when Cheol-hee said that he had decided to meet In-ah again the day after their first date, she pouted and asked if he was having a secret affair.

At the end of the broadcast, the identity of the car terrorist who had been threatening Hana was revealed. It was none other than Da-bin‘s younger brother Jin-young. Cheol-hee and Jin-young were carrying the burden of longing, regret, and guilt in their hearts about Da-bin. The two people who were still in pain from the sorrow of losing their loved ones were able to let go of their heavy burden a little with one phrase, “How can we live remembering the sad past for a thousand years? It’s not polite to live your whole life in pain to your past love.”

Episode 6 of Channel A‘s Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Marry You’, which makes people even more curious about the next development, will air today (the 1st) at 7:50 PM.
