The third teaser video for ‘Suspicious Woman’, which depicts the story of a 70-year-old grandmother growing up to be an idol, has been released.
The new KBS 2TV Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Suspicious Woman’ (directed by Park Yong-soon/written by Heo Seung-min), scheduled to premiere on the 18th (Wed), is a romantic music growth drama about 70-year-old grandmother Oh Mal-soon who suddenly turns into a 20-year-old Oh Du-ri and enjoys her shining heyday as she challenges herself to become a singer once again to fulfill the dream she couldn‘t fulfill when she was younger. The drama ‘Miss Granny’, a remake of the movie of the same name, is garnering much attention from potential viewers with its expanded characters and storyline compared to the original.
While the first and second teaser videos were previously released and received heated interest from potential viewers, the third teaser video released today (the 3rd) shows a confrontation between Oh Du-ri (played by Jung Ji-so) and Kim Ae-shim (played by Cha Hwa-yeon), who leads Eunice Entertainment.
The released video begins with Oh Mal-soon (played by Kim Hae-sook) singing passionately on stage and Ae-shim laughing at her. Mal-soon’s narration, “The one who was robbed is worse than the one who stole it”, hints at a huge incident that occurred between the two in the past. Then, the tense confrontation between Doori, who became a trainee, national singer Ae-shim, and Mal-soon and Ae-shim in their 20s intersect, increasing the tension of the drama.
In addition, the polar opposites of Mal-soon shedding tears on stage and Doori saying desperately, “If you had to choose between achieving your 50-year dream or taking revenge on someone?” stimulate interest. Mal-soon‘s son-in-law Choi Min-seok (played by In Kyo-jin), who is suspicious of Doori’s existence, asks, “Isn‘t Doori the daughter your mother-in-law is hiding?” and their complicated story adds to the curiosity of the drama.
Doori, who has become an idol trainee, devotes herself to practicing dancing to receive good reviews, while creating a strange atmosphere with Daniel Han (played by Jinyoung). Doori’s last words, “Whether you get hurt while avoiding or getting hurt while fighting, you shouldn‘t have any regrets, right?” are raising expectations for the show, foreshadowing the ups and downs of idol growth.
KBS 2TV’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Suspicious Lady’, which will decorate the end of 2024, is scheduled to premiere on the 18th (Wednesday) as the follow-up to ‘Face Me’.
