Actress Jang Won-young will be joining the short-form drama ‘Detective Save Me’.
On the 4th, the drama production company Clip K announced, “Actress Jang Won-young has been confirmed to appear in the first short-form drama ‘Detective Save Me’ as detective Kang Ki-man.”
The 50-episode short-form drama ‘Detective Save Me’, scheduled to be released in January next year, is a comical investigative action drama about ‘Save Me’, who has been living an ordinary life despite having an unusual physical condition and incredible strength since birth, solving cases with his detective uncle, who is a former detective.
Jang Won-young plays the role of ‘Kang Ki-man’, Goo Hae-ju‘s uncle. Ki-man was a former detective, but he is currently running a detective agency. A nephew with much stronger ‘strength’ than others joins a detective agency that only flies around, and he will solve various cases, giving viewers a refreshing and heart-wrenching experience. Jang Won-young is raising the anticipation for the drama by foreshadowing the chemistry between uncle and niece with Ha Jae-sook.
Jang Won-young has solidified her position as a ‘class scene-stealer’ with her unrivaled presence in numerous works including the dramas ‘Death to Snow White’, ‘Bad Mom’, ‘Murderer’s Shopping List’ and the movies ‘Meanwhile,’, ’The Twelfth Suspect’.
‘Detective Save Me’ was directed by Park Jae-hong, who has served as the cinematographer for numerous works including the MBC miniseries ‘Death to Snow White’ and the KBS 2TV miniseries ‘Iris’. The meeting between director Park Jae-hong, considered Korea‘s top veteran cinematographer, and a new media content short-form drama has raised expectations.
The short-form drama ‘Detective Save Me’ is scheduled to be released in January next year.
