Actors Joo Ji-hoon and Park Bo-young expressed their strong trust in ‘director’ Kim Hee-won.

The Disney+ original drama ‘’The Lighting Store‘, which will be released on the 4th, is based on the webtoon of the same name by Kang Full. It tells the story of customers with secrets visiting the lighting store, the only place that lights up a dark alley. Kang Full, the original author, wrote the screenplay, and actor Kim Hee-won took on the challenge of directing. Joo Ji-hoon, Park Bo-young, Kim Seol-hyun, Bae Sung-woo, Uhm Tae-goo, Lee Jung-eun, Kim Min-ha, and Kim Dae-myung star.

At the production conference held at the COEX Convention Grand Ballroom in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 3rd, Joo Ji-hoon, who plays the role of Won-young, the owner of a lighting store, said, “In fact, when we‘re filming, there are times when we can’t do what we naturally have to do, but Director Kim Hee-won proceeded without error with what we promised and discussed in advance during the pre-production stage. I really liked how he consistently showed his spirit of coming to work on time and leaving work.” He added, “As a director and as a senior, I thought of him as a ‘textbook for directing.’”

Park Bo-young also said, “Since the director is also an actor, he personally experienced all the complicated movements that the actors have to handle,” and “And every day after finishing filming, he called me on the way home and asked, ‘How was your day?’” “I thought he was such a warm and delicate director,” he said with a smile.
