Actor Jin Young showed off his perfect chemistry with Jung Ji So.

The new KBS2 Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Suspicious Girl’ (directed by Park Yong Soon/written by Heo Seung Min), scheduled to premiere on the 18th (Wednesday), is a romantic music growth drama about Oh Mal Soon, a grandmother in her seventies who suddenly turns into a twenty-year-old Oh Du Ri and enjoys her shining heyday as she challenges herself to become a singer once again to fulfill the dream she couldn‘t fulfill in her youth. The drama ‘Suspicious Girl’, a remake of the movie of the same name, is garnering much attention from potential viewers with its expanded characters and storyline compared to the original.

In the drama, Jin Young plays Daniel Han, the leader of the former popular idol group Ignis and the current executive producer of Eunice Entertainment. While planning his last project, a girl group project, he discovers Emily (played by Jung Ji So), a trainee with a unique sensibility, and selects her as the group’s center, but is confused by Emily‘s sudden disappearance. In the meantime, he discovers Oh Du-ri (played by Jung Ji-so), who has the same face but an upgraded sensibility, and goes through ups and downs to debut her as an idol center.

Jinyoung, who defined ‘Miss Granny’ as ‘happiness’, said, “Our work gives off a lot of bright and happy energy rather than being dark. I usually think of the word happiness as very important, and when I think of ‘Miss Granny’, happiness is the first thing that comes to mind,“ explaining the reason.

In addition, Jinyoung said that the difference between the movie ‘Miss Granny’ and the drama is, “There are many parts where the content and setting itself are very different. I think the biggest difference is the addition of the setting of nurturing an idol girl group,” and added, “In the movie, he appeared as a grandson, but this time, he appears as a producer in a completely different role. In some ways, it feels like I’ve taken on a role that I could have done when I was much older,“ he said, foreshadowing a new side of himself that‘s different from before.

Jinyoung, who said that filming went smoothly, said, ”I talked a lot with actress Ji So before we started filming. Actress Ji So is a really good actress, and I learned and realized a lot from working with her this time. I think you can look forward to the synergy and chemistry that we’ll create,“ expressing strong confidence in his chemistry with Jung Ji So.

Jinyoung‘s perfect visuals in the Chun (春) character poster released today (the 4th) stop the gaze. The copy that describes him, ”He used to be a star idol, but now he’s a bumbling producer?!?“ piques curiosity about why he fell from being a star idol to a bumbling producer. The broadcast is highly anticipated to see what kind of new acting transformation Jin-young will show, different from the movie, along with the expanded story.

KBS 2TV‘s new Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Miss Granny’, which will show a different side of Jin-young than in the movie, is scheduled to premiere on the 18th (Wednesday) as the follow-up to ‘Face Me’.
