Girl group Girls‘ Generation has moved their ‘main stage’ to the living room theater. Following member Yuri, who is currently performing action scenes in tvN’s ‘Parole Judge Lee Han-shin’, Sooyoung and Yoona will star in tvN‘s ‘Please Quit Drinking’ and ‘The Tyrant’s Chef, respectively, next year. ‘Sosi World’ is unfolding in the living room theater.
Members of the popular girl group Girls‘ Generation and actors are all releasing lead roles and engaging in a friendly competition. The main characters are Yuri, Sooyoung, and Yoona. They will each take on the role of professional characters such as a detective, a mechanic, and a chef in the drama and show off their unique charms.
Among them, Yuri is the first to take over the living room theater and is leading the current tvN drama ‘Parole Examiner Lee Han Shin’ to box office success.
In the drama, which depicts the story of those who fight against inmates who try to exploit the parole system, Yuri plays the role of Ahn Seo-yoon, a detective in the metropolitan investigation unit, and runs around like ‘a fish in water’.
Yuri, who gained 8kg for this character and showed extraordinary passion, is showing off action scenes that don’t spare her body, just like her nickname, ‘Gwangsoo Unit Ace’.
Next up is Sooyoung. She will be appearing in the tvN hit drama ‘Please Quit Drinking’, scheduled to air early next year.
‘Please Quit Drinking’ contains the story of a woman who has always described herself as an extremely sensible drinker, who reunites with a public health center doctor who finds quitting drinking harder than alcohol, and challenges herself to quit.
It was previously known as ‘A Very sensible Alcoholic’, but the title was recently changed.
It has been garnering attention even before its broadcast because the writers who wrote the popular series ‘Ugly Miss Yeong-ae’ have reunited.
In the drama, Sooyoung plays Han Geum-ju, who loves cars, applies for a recruitment at a large corporation, and becomes a female mechanic. ‘A woman who drinks better than a man’, she was given the nickname ‘Alcoholic’, and just like her name, she is a character who challenges ‘abandonment’.
Sooyoung‘s usual honest yet fiery personality is expected to be directly reflected. Her counterpart will be played by Gong Myung, who first showed off her extraordinary chemistry at the closing ceremony of the Busan International Film Festival in October.
YoonA will also return two years after the box office success of ‘King the Land’. She will go on a time travel through the new tvN drama ‘The Tyrant’s Chef’. Expectations are high for this drama because it features ‘Box Office Queen’ YoonA and PD Jang Tae-yoo, who created hits such as ‘My Love from the Star’, ‘Flowers that Bloom at Night’.
The romance fantasy genre drama tells the story of a chef who time-slips to the past just as he reaches the top and meets the worst tyrant, the king, who is also a gourmet.
He will take on the role of a chef who boasts excellent cooking skills in the drama. The king, a ‘tyrant’, will be played by Park Sung-hoon, who presented a vicious villain role in ‘The Glory’, and will show off sweet romantic chemistry.
