Disney+ original series ‘Moving’ (directed by Park In-je, Park Yoon-seo/written by Kang Full) will meet viewers for the first time on TV through the MBC channel within the year.

After a long discussion with Disney+, MBC recently agreed to present ‘Moving’, which has garnered attention not only for its artistic quality but also worldwide, through MBC.

The 20-episode drama ‘Moving’, which was presented as a Disney+ original series in August of last year, is based on the popular webtoon of the same name by Kang Full. It is a superpower action hero drama about children who live in the present while hiding superpowers and their parents who have lived while hiding painful secrets from the past, as they face enormous danger that transcends time and generations. At the time of filming, it garnered attention for casting next-generation leading actors such as Ryu Seung-ryong, Han Hyo-joo, Jo In-sung, Cha Tae-hyun, and Kim Sung-kyun, as well as actors with acting skills and star quality, such as Lee Jung-ha, Go Yoon-jung, and Kim Do-hoon. After the actual work was released, it created explosive buzz in every country it was released in, regardless of whether it was domestic or international, and was evaluated to have truly opened a new horizon for K-hero films.

This project is the first collaboration between a global OTT and a domestic terrestrial broadcaster, so the industry‘s interest is also very hot. This collaboration is said to contain the desire of both companies to present quality content to more viewers, and to present quality content to a wider audience through supply and demand partnerships between terrestrial broadcasting, which is a free and universal service, and paid and subscription OTT platforms.

An official from MBC’s content strategy team said, “‘Moving’ is a mega hit on Disney+, but there are still many viewers who haven‘t seen it,” and “This collaboration also means selecting good works that lead K-culture and expanding the viewing rights for various viewers to watch it for free through MBC.”

Meanwhile, MBC’s Disney+ original series ‘Moving’ will begin airing at 10 p.m. on December 22 and will be specially scheduled for 8 episodes over 3 days during Christmas week, and will be regularly scheduled for 2 episodes once a week on Sunday nights starting in January.
