‘Face Me’ has drawn an interesting picture of the process of tracking down the case.
In episode 9 of KBS2‘s Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Face Me’ (directed by Jo Rok-hwan/written by Hwang Ye-jin) that aired on the 4th, the hidden truth surrounding the assault case of Lee Jin-seok (played by Yoon Jung-il) and the death of Cha Jung-woo’s (played by Lee Min-ki) girlfriend 7 years ago began to slowly be revealed.
In that day‘s broadcast, Jin-seok was seen collapsed in his house, bleeding, with Jung-woo next to him, and Lee Min-hyung (played by Han Ji-hyun) discovering the situation. Jung-woo, who was arrested in the act, confessed to detective Seo Kang-ho (played by Lee Seung-woo) that he was not the culprit. He expressed his doubts about whether there were other suspects and whether there was a connection to the case from 7 years ago, saying that he heard the sound of someone’s footsteps hurriedly leaving the scene. At this time, Park Chae-kyung (Kang Da-hyun), a lawyer and friend of Jung-woo, presented evidence and proved that Jung-woo was not the culprit, allowing him to escape unscathed.
Min-hyung used his keen intuition to determine the truth behind Jin-seok‘s assault. While watching the CCTV footage of the incident, he saw Team Leader Choi (Lee Jae-ha) coming out of Jin-seok’s house. He compared the bloodstains found at the scene with Team Leader Choi‘s DNA and concluded that they matched. It was shocking to learn that Team Leader Choi had threatened Jin-seok in order to get promoted and avoid getting caught for his lax investigation.
Circumstances related to Jung-woo’s girlfriend Yoon Hye-jin (Ha-young) from 7 years ago also began to come to light one by one. Jung-woo‘s mother Yoon Seo-hee (Yang So-min), who had Hye-jin’s cell phone, confessed everything to Jung-woo. There were affectionate pictures of Hye-jin with another man on her phone, and Seo-hee, who found out about this, fabricated the car accident situation in hopes of not getting involved with Hye-jin anymore.
After checking the CCTV footage of the Nam Hyo-joo (Choi Jung-woon) assault incident, it was revealed that the suspect on the day of Nam Ki-taek‘s (Park Wan-gyu) death was the same person. In addition, it was revealed that Jung-woo came out of Hye-jin’s house at the time, which was different from the records, and Jung-woo‘s DNA matched the bloodstains on the wristwatch he was wearing, making a summons for investigation inevitable.
The police went to Jung-woo’s house and the hospital to arrest him, but Jung-woo had already left. Jung-woo was on his way to the police station, and Min-hyung, who ran into him at the entrance, dragged him somewhere. Then, when Jung-woo asks where he is going, Min-hyung smiles and says, “To meet the real culprit,” raising curiosity about the next episode about where he went to meet the real culprit.
Episode 9 of ‘Face Me’ stimulated viewers‘ curiosity as the circumstances surrounding Jin-seok’s assault incident and Hye-jin‘s death 7 years ago began to be revealed.
Episode 10 of KBS 2TV’s Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Face Me’ will air at 9:50 p.m. on the 5th (today).
