In the remaining 4 episodes of SBS‘s Friday-Saturday drama ‘The Fiery Priest 2’, Lee Dae-yeon, Seo Beom-joon, Hwang Jung-min, Heo Soon-mi, and Oh Hee-joon have emerged as the ‘Mystery Men’ to watch out for.
In the previous 8 episodes of ‘The Fiery Priest 2’ (written by Park Jae-beom, directed by Park Bo-ram, produced by Studio S, Big Ocean ENM, Red Nine Pictures, Gilstory ENT), Kim Hae-il (Kim Nam-gil) realized that drug cartel boss Kim Hong-sik (Sung Joon) was preparing for mass murder, and asked Park Kyung-sun (Lee Ha-nui) at the Busan Southern District Prosecutors’ Office and Goo Dae-young (Kim Sung-kyun), Goo Ja-young (Kim Hyung-seo), Oh Yo-han (Go Kyu-pil), and Song Sak (Ahn Chang-hwan) at the drug organization headquarters to find information about the toxic gas hidden by Kim Hong-sik and a bomb. Meanwhile, Kim Hae-il, who went to the attacked seminary, was hit during a fight and collapsed, putting him in danger.
● Principal Lee “Get out of the school gate before you get hit!”
In the previous 8th episode, Principal Lee of the seminary always maintained his composure by shouting ‘The duty of a priest’, but he showed a completely different side, causing a plot twist. When a reporter with a camera visited the seminary and reported the unfounded news that the fire at the statue of the Virgin Mary was caused by ‘spontaneous combustion, Principal Lee shouted, “Get out of the school gate before you get hit!”, unleashing his hidden ‘instinct”. As it turns out, Principal Lee, who has been secretly revealing that he has been burning with a sense of justice, will be able to side with Kim Hae-il, and whether he will stick to his principles and discipline Kim Hae-il, who causes trouble, is drawing attention.
● Chae Do-woo “My body feels like a superconductor” A hidden weapon?
Chae Do-woo and Kim Hae-il have been forming a tiki-taka relationship since they started doing volunteer work for the elderly. In particular, Chae Do-woo was extremely angry at the news of the cremation of Grandma Song (Byun Joong-hee), who suddenly passed away while working at a drug factory, and rebelled, getting tasered by the police. However, Cha Do-woo, who was fine even after being hit by a taser gun, confessed, “My body is like a superconductor,” when Kim Hae-il asked why he was fine, as if he himself was surprised, making everyone laugh. In the ending of episode 8, Cha Do-woo, who blocked Kim Hong-sik‘s subordinates’ attacks with his strong body with his bare hands, is making people curious to see whether he will be reborn as a hidden weapon in the remaining 4 episodes.
● Section Chief Kim, “I take care of all the work,” 180 degree transformation
Section Chief Kim‘s transformation after attacking Park Kyung-sun in episode 8 was shocking in itself. When Park Kyung-sun went to the Busan Southern Branch Office, he smiled brightly and said, “I take care of all the work,” and asked her to ask him anything she wanted at any time, which is 180 degrees different from the kind Section Chief Kim who showed his true colors. In particular, Chief Kim, who usually took good care of Chief Nam Du-heon (Seo Hyun-woo), raises suspicions because he knew about the existence of the ‘Honey Pot Room’ and even attacked Park Kyung-sun with an electric shock device. Is Chief Kim the true henchman of Nam Du-heon? And why did he attack Lee Ha-nui?
● Gomarta “Just pretend you don’t know whether I‘m kidnapped or dead”
In the previous 8th episode, it was revealed that the mysterious bespectacled woman was Chief Gomarta of the Uma Police Station, and Gomarta arrested Kim Hong-sik in an emergency to save Kim Hae-il, who was in danger due to worsening multiple sclerosis symptoms. However, Gomarta, who returned to the police station, was frustrated because the warrant would be rejected anyway and Kim Hong-sik would soon be released due to insufficient evidence, and revealed a deep defeatism, saying that she was just a ‘plant chief’ anyway. In addition, Gomarta arouses questions by crying to Kim Hae-il, who saved her from being kidnapped by Kim Hong-sik’s men, “Just pretend you don‘t know whether I’m kidnapped or dead.” Although he is aware of his duty as a police chief, curiosity is rising as to what Gomarta‘s hidden story is in her frustration.
● Yeolbing-eo “Anyone can tell that you’re my mom?”
Yeolbing-eo, a member of the drug organization ‘Yongsa-pa’ that Kim Hong-sik took over, also catches the eye with a suspicious scene. Goo Dae-young, Goo Ja-young, Oh Yo-han, and Song Sak, who were at the drug organization headquarters ‘Seoulduyangjjan’, received instructions from Kim Hae-il to meet with Kim Soo-nyeon (Baek Ji-won) outside and tried to leave under the pretense of meeting their mother, but they were continuously suspected by Bbol-rak (Choi Hwan-i). Then, the watcher, Yeolbing-eo, was dispatched, and Yeolbing-eo, who was watching from afar, reported with tears in his eyes, “Anyone can tell that you are my mother?” However, in episode 8, while everyone was away, the four people leaving to find the bomb room were watched with a cold gaze by Yeol Bing-eo, adding to the suspense.
