TVING has proven its global competitiveness once again by winning the Original Series Award at AACA, Asia‘s largest content awards ceremony.
TVING’s original series ‘Fortune‘s Ojin Day’ (directed by Pil Gam-seong, written by Kim Min-seong and Song Han-na) won the Original Series Award (Best Original Production by a Streamer) at the 2024 AACA (Asian Academy Creative Awards) held in Singapore on the 4th. The AACA, held every December, is Asia’s largest content awards ceremony that reviews and awards the Asian content market for the year.
Korea‘s leading local OTT TVING has continued to win awards at global content awards ceremonies with its unique and differentiated original series. ‘Body Price’ became the first Korean drama to win the ‘Best Screenplay‘ in the feature-length competition category at the Cannes International Series Festival in France in 2023, greatly elevating TVING’s status. At the 2022 AACA, ’Yumi‘s Cells‘ won the Best Original Production by a Streamer award, and at the 28th ATA earlier this year, the original series ’Island‘ won the Best Original Digital Drama Series award.
TVING said, “The continuous awards and buzz of TVING original content is a great feat that raises the status of K-content and proves it on the international stage. We will continue to maintain the strong competitiveness of Korea’s leading OTT through TVING‘s unique K-content.”
Meanwhile, ‘Fortune’s Ojin Day’ was selected as a MIPTV screening piece in Cannes, France, and received favorable reviews as a well-made genre piece.
