Lee Min-ho goes on a special trip to a space station.

tvN‘s new Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Ask the Stars’ (written by Seo Sook-hyang, directed by Park Shin-woo) depicts the extraterrestrial life of Eve (played by Gong Hyo-jin), a boss working in a zero-gravity space station, and Dinosaur (played by Lee Min-ho), an uninvited guest with a secret mission.

According to the production team, Lee Min-ho plays Dinosaur, an obstetrician and gynecologist who stays in the space station for a few days as a space tourist. Dinosaur is the prospective son-in-law of MZ Group, the top conglomerate in South Korea, who has strong convictions and pride and is full of loyalty and confidence. He spends an astronomical amount of money to go on a space tour just before his wedding. Although he may seem like a leisurely wanderer on the outside, he has a secret mission that he can’t tell anyone. Attention is focused on whether the dinosaur will succeed in this mission.

Lee Min-ho said about the dinosaur character who has to do the impossible mission in space, “He is a very ordinary person who lives an ordinary life, but he has his own beliefs and obsession with life that some people do not understand.” “I think it is beautiful how he tries to accomplish what he has been given. His passion, honesty, and loyalty in front of life are not refined but expressed as they are. The character‘s charm is his purity.”


The reason he chose ’Ask the Stars‘ as his comeback project is, “Aren’t we living in an age where the times are getting faster and faster and it is becoming increasingly unclear what is good and what is important to humans? That‘s why I was drawn to the story of people who feel the preciousness of life meeting against the backdrop of the purest and unknown space called space,” he said, adding that he felt warmth from the story of the piece.

He also said, “While working on the piece, I thought that the stronger my determination to protect what I consider most important, the wider the range of expressions that dinosaurs can express.”

Lastly, Lee Min-ho said, “I think that because space is the background, I will be able to fully enjoy the feeling of weightlessness, emotions that can only be felt in space, and the vastness on the screen. I think the unique colors of our work will be refreshing and I hope you can enjoy the drama by following along naturally with the events that happen in the play with a comfortable mind.”

‘Ask the Stars’ will premiere at 9:20 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
