‘On a Single-Log Bridge’ Joo Ji-hoon and Jung Yu-mi are receiving rave reviews for their redemptive narrative that goes beyond the relationship of enemies and first loves.

tvN‘s ‘On a Single-Log Bridge’ (directed by Park Joon-hwa and Bae Hee-young/written by Lim Ye-jin/planned by Studio Dragon/produced by Studio Dragon Blitzway Production) is about Seok Ji-won and Yoon Ji-won, a man who were born on the same day with the same name in the families of enemies. The war-like romance of these mortal enemies who reunite after a painful separation in the summer of their eighteenth year.

Among them, ‘On a Single-Log Bridge’ is receiving a hot response for expanding the relationship between ‘Two Ji-won’ Seok Ji-won (played by Joo Ji-hoon) and Yoon Ji-won (played by Jung Yu-mi) from their first love enemy chemistry to redemptive chemistry.

Although To Ji-won and Seok Ji-won were mortal enemies for generations in their families, they realized their first love that they were too familiar with and went straight to each other, as in the confession of 18-year-old Seok Ji-won (played by Hong Min-ki), who said, “I don’t even remember when and why I liked you, it‘s an emotion that has been around for so long that even I’m confused if this is love,”

After that, To Ji-won and Seok Ji-won continued their thrilling secret relationship, loving passionately, fighting, and making up without his family or friends knowing. However, as if it were a twist of fate, the two broke up for a trivial reason, and their three-month relationship ended when Cha Ji-hye (played by Kim Ye-won), who had a crush on Seok Ji-won, blocked his phone out of jealousy. After that, Seok Ji-won, stimulated by his friend‘s words, “Yoon Ji-won doesn’t remember you either,” goes to Dokmokgo to meet Yoon Ji-won and reconnects their relationship that had been cut off for 18 years.

In particular, Seok Ji-won‘s sweet innocent love story revealed in the epilogue of the 4th episode presented a surprising twist and showed the expanded narrative of To Ji-won. After the breakup, Yoon Ji-won (played by Oh Ye-joo) faced the worst moment of her life due to a series of unbelievable events, including the betrayal of a colleague, the death of her parents, and her father’s embezzlement. However, when Yoon Ji-won wanted to give up on life, the benefactor who brought her back to life was revealed to be Seok Ji-won, showing the true value of a narrative restaurant where they became each other‘s only salvation.

In particular, Joo Ji-hoon and Jung Yu-mi maximize the fun of To Ji-won’s narrative with the process in which their love and hate for each other change into heartbreaking excitement and the changing gazes and atmosphere that follow.

In the upcoming 5th episode, Seok Ji-won‘s move into the company house and the full-fledged life of To Ji-won will be depicted.
