Actress Chae Won-bin revealed the key points to watch for in KBS2‘s new Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Miss Granny’.

KBS 2TV’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Miss Granny’ (directed by Park Yong-soon/written by Heo Seung-min), scheduled to premiere on the 18th (Wednesday), is a romantic music growth drama about Oh Mal-soon, a seventy-year-old grandmother who suddenly turns into a twenty-year-old Oh Du-ri and enjoys her shining heyday as she challenges herself to become a singer once again to fulfill the dream she couldn‘t fulfill when she was younger. ‘Miss Granny’, a remake of the movie of the same name, is garnering a lot of attention from potential viewers with its expanded characters and storyline compared to the original.

In the drama, Chae Won-bin plays Choi Ha-na, a woman with incredible guts who gives up the college entrance exam to become a singer. Instead of carrying a heavy bag full of test books, he went to the audition with an acoustic guitar and vowed to focus only on the future for his dream.

Chae Won-bin said the reason she chose ‘Miss Granny’ was, “I thought it was a warm piece of work. I really liked the original work, and the fact that it was a musical drama was impressive.” She added, “Hana is honest about her emotions and has no hesitation in expressing them. She’s bright, cheerful, challenging, and hard-working, and this is my first time expressing a character like this. That‘s why I found her very charming.” She showed off her special affection for the role.

Chae Won-bin also said, “In the drama, she enters Eunice Entertainment as an idol trainee, but since she doesn’t have basic knowledge about singing and dancing, she studied a lot from beginning to end. I took stage manners classes and tried to approach the role with the same mindset to express Hana, who is sincere and hard-working about music.” She poured out her passion for the drama.

Chae Won-bin also showed off her special chemistry with Kim Hae-sook, who appears as her grandmother in the drama. He said, “I personally really like and respect teacher Kim Hae-sook. One time, the director asked if we practiced separately because we fit together so well. At that time, the teacher replied that we originally fit together well.” He continued, “We filmed so much fun, and our chemistry was good. I will also show special chemistry with actress Jung Ji-so, who plays a younger grandmother, so please look forward to it.”

Chae Won-bin then mentioned some points to watch to make the drama even more enjoyable, saying, “I think it would be good to watch the process in which a grandmother in her 70s becomes younger and adapts to K-POP, the process in which a shaky family recovers, and the journey of one person achieving their dream.” He added, “The relationships between the various characters will enrich the story, so please look forward to it.”

Lastly, Chae Won-bin said, “I want to be the warmest gift of the year-end to the viewers. Please watch and love us a lot,” he said, urging viewers to watch the original broadcast.

‘Suspicious Girl’ is scheduled to air for the first time on the 18th (Wednesday) as a follow-up to ‘Face Me’.
