Actress Yoon Ga-i recently mentioned the reason why she chose to leave SNL.

On the 5th, YouTube channel Studio Chika Chika invited Yoon Ga-i as the first guest for ‘Impersonation Queen Lee Soo-ji’. The two previously worked together on Coupang Play‘s ‘SNL Korea’.

Yoon Ga-i previously left after season 5 of ‘SNL Korea’ to focus on her main job, acting, leaving many fans disappointed.

When Lee Soo-ji asked if she regrets not being able to meet the SNL crew every week, Yoon Ga-i said, “I do. “Even when I went to the recording for the first time, my heart was so strange,” she said.

Yoon Ga-i continued, “When I look at my older sister and my older sister Jeong and senior Jeong Sang-hoon, they often do dramas side by side,” and said, “What I really respect is stamina, but I have no tricks,” and explained the reason for her departure, saying, “Since I joined SNL right after graduating from college, I didn’t know how to use my head quickly and change characters tactfully, so I felt overloaded and worried that I couldn‘t do anything properly.”

Lee Soo-ji understood Yoon Ga-i’s feelings, saying, “I got the feeling that you couldn‘t focus all your energy on one thing.”



Yoon Ga-i confessed, “I made a difficult decision to go back to what I used to do, when I was just a supporting actor, and continue studying. It’s the first time I‘m talking about this.” Lee Soo-ji was also touched, saying, “I’m touched right now that you‘re telling me this. This feeling is really difficult.”

However, Lee Soo-ji soon returned to a realistic and profitable story, making Yoon Ga-i laugh. When asked how much his earnings had decreased compared to his SNL days, Yoon Ga-i laughed and said, “It’s almost none now.
