Actors Kim Hae-sook, Chae Won-bin, Seo Young-hee, and In Kyo-jin are reuniting as a family.

The new KBS 2TV Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Miss Granny’ (directed by Park Yong-soon/written by Heo Seung-min), scheduled to premiere on the 18th (Wednesday), is a romantic music growth drama about Oh Mal-soon, a grandmother in her seventies who suddenly turns into a twenty-year-old Oh Du-ri and enjoys her shining heyday as she challenges herself to become a singer once again to fulfill the dream she couldn‘t fulfill when she was younger. The drama ‘Miss Granny’, a remake of the movie of the same name, is garnering much attention from potential viewers with its expanded characters and storyline compared to the original.

Amidst the increased anticipation from potential viewers with teaser videos and posters, stills of Kim Hae-sook (as Oh Mal-soon), Jung Ji-so (as Oh Du-ri), Chae Won-bin (as Choi Ha-na), Seo Young-hee (as Ban Ji-sook), and In Gyo-jin (as Choi Min-seok) were released today (the 9th).

In the drama, Kim Hae-sook plays Oh Mal-soon, a 70-year-old who becomes younger overnight, and Jung Ji-so plays Oh Du-ri, a character in her 20s who is Mal-soon’s younger self. Chae Won-bin also plays Choi Ha-na, Mal-soon‘s granddaughter and Ji-sook and Min-seok’s only daughter. The parents, Ban Ji-sook and Choi Min-seok, are played by Seo Young-hee and In Kyo-jin.

Malsoon, who has lived a tough life doing all sorts of odd jobs to raise her daughter well, has a big fight with Ji-sook, who only spits out her complaints without knowing her own feelings. Malsoon, who runs away from home in a fit of anger, accidentally takes a memorial photo and turns into a 20-year-old overnight. Malsoon, who has suddenly become younger, cannot enter the house and only watches Ji-sook and Min-seok from afar. Malsoon, who disappears on the way, decides to start a new life as Oduri. The family is curious to see if Doo-ri, who appears in a younger form, will realize that she is Malsoon.

Here, Ha-na, a model student who always ranks first in the entire school, declares to her family that she is giving up on the college entrance exam right before it takes place. After realizing that what she wants to do is music, she enters Eunice Entertainment and begins her life as a trainee. There, Ha-na meets Doo-ri and feels a sense of familiarity. The splendid synergy between Hana and Du-ri, who meet their rejuvenated grandmother again, is raising expectations.

Meanwhile, Ji-sook gets very angry when Hana says she will give up going to college. He ends up saying hurtful things to Mal-soon, who does not understand her feelings and takes her granddaughter‘s side. It is also a point of interest to see what is lingering in Ji-sook’s heart and whether the two, as mother and daughter, will be able to resolve their conflict.

Min-seok, who runs a private academy in his mother-in-law Mal-soon‘s building, loses all of his students to a teacher he trusted. Min-seok, who closes the academy without Ji-sook knowing, is afraid that his wife will find out about this. Mal-soon, who had been a reliable presence to Min-seok, leaves home, and his only daughter irritates Ji-sook. Attention is focused on what kind of moves he will make in the future, as he is just watching from home.

Kim Hae-sook, Jung Ji-so, Chae Won-bin, Seo Young-hee, and In Kyo-jin will lead the drama as an ordinary family that loves but sometimes does not hesitate to say hurtful words. Expectations are high for what kind of commotion will occur when Doo-ri appears in front of this family and how the exciting story they will present will unfold in the original broadcast.

KBS 2TV’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Suspicious Woman’ will first air on the 18th (Wednesday) as the follow-up to ‘Face Me’.
