Ku Hye-sun, what did she do for a living… She won the KAIST Literature Award ‘Surprise’
Actress Ku Hye-sun won the 30th KAIST Literature Award.
The winners of the 30th KAIST Literature Award, hosted by the KAIST Newspaper, were announced on the 4th. Among them, actress Ku Hye-sun was selected as the winner of the essay category out of the four categories of poetry, essay, screenplay, and novel.
The work that won Ku Hye-sun the KAIST Literature Award, ‘My Neighborhood That Was Not Poor’, is an essay that contains the story of her childhood, growing up in a small village community in Incheon, becoming neighbors and family, sharing love and learning. Previously, Ku Hye-sun, who appeared on KBS 2TV‘s entertainment show ‘Park Won-sook’s Let‘s Live Together Season 3’, revealed her close childhood with her neighbors, and showed her affectionate side and extraordinary friendliness by approaching Park Won-sook, Hye-eun, and the residents of Yeongdeok without hesitation. It has been reported that this essay contains all of Ku Hye-sun’s warm childhood stories.
Ku Hye-sun expressed her feelings about receiving the award through her agency NSENM, saying, “The professor advised me to polish and publish the essay, so I spent a long time working on it.” She continued, “Next year, I plan to publish an essay collection titled ‘Ku Hye-sun in Wonderland’ (tentative title), including this essay. I am grateful to KAIST for giving me the award. Thanks to this, I think I will be able to finish my essay collection with more confidence,” she said, expressing her gratitude for the award and news about her upcoming essay collection.
Ku Hye-sun previously attended the Busan International Film Festival as a director in October, proving her potential as a film director, and revealed her passionate attitude while balancing work and school. She has recently been releasing piano music and videos in the New Age genre that she composed herself through her YouTube channel, ‘Studio Ku Hye-sun’.
