Park Sung-hoon “Transgender role, not enough money for gender confirmation surgery, so I joined the game” (Squid Game Season 2)
The actors who joined Season 2 of Netflix‘s ‘Squid Game’ introduced their characters.
On the morning of the 9th, the production conference for Season 2 of the Netflix series ‘Squid Game’ was held at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) Art Hall in Euljiro, Jung-gu, Seoul. Director Hwang Dong-hyuk, as well as Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Wi Ha-joon, Park Gyu-young, Lee Jin-wook, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Lee Seo-hwan, and Jo Yu-ri attended the event.
Park Sung-hoon said about his character Hyun-joo, “She’s a transgender who wants to get gender confirmation surgery, but she doesn‘t have enough money for it, so she enters the game room. He is described as a righteous character who is altruistic, brave, and has leadership.”
Im Si-wan introduced him as “a coin investment expert named Myeong-gi. He is a character who participates in this game as a debtor after being involved in a coin scam and causing huge losses to subscribers.” Kang Ha-neul said, “Dae-ho is a friend who is very witty and friendly. After hearing Ki-hoon say, ‘I’ve played the game,’ he treats him like an older brother and experiences many things by his side. I hope you look forward to his chemistry with older brother Jung-bae.”
Park Gyu-young, who plays No-eul, said, “He is a character who needs money to find his lost daughter. He is a character who feels guilty for losing his daughter and is determined to find her. I hope you can see what choices he makes to make money in the main story.” Lee Jin-wook said, “He is the most ordinary character. He participates in the game to earn hospital bills for his daughter who has childhood cancer. He said, “He is a pitiful and unfortunate character.”
Season 2 of ’Squid Game‘ is a story about the fierce confrontation between ’Ki-hoon‘ (Lee Jung-jae), who vows revenge and returns to participate in the game, and the ’Frontman‘ (Lee Byung-hun) who greets him, and the real game that begins again. It is scheduled to be released on Netflix on the 26th.
