Episode 181 of tvN‘s ‘Naked World History’ (directed by Kim Hyung-oh, Lee Yoon-ho, and Seo Yong-seok), which will air on the 10th, will explore eternal life, a long-standing desire of mankind.

According to the production team, Professor Lee Du-gap of the Department of Science at Seoul National University will be the lecturer on that day. Professor Lee Doo-gap, who received his Ph.D. in history from Princeton University in the United States and is actively conducting research focusing on the field of science and technology studies, plans to expose humanity’s desire for eternal life, which means not growing old or dying, in his lecture that day.



Professor Lee Doo-gap emphasizes that “regardless of time and place, humans have long dreamed of eternal life,” and that challenges for eternal life have continued depending on the era, religion, and ideology. Some people long for eternal life in the afterlife based on religious beliefs, while others have sought out extraordinary elixirs to achieve immortality in the real world.

Professor Lee Doo-gap explains that new attempts to obtain eternal life emerged due to the advancement of science and medicine, expanding the concept of eternal life. From surgeries that have become popular with the public to new technologies that mechanize the human body and connect the mind with artificial intelligence, humanity‘s efforts to overcome the limits of the body, its limits, and possibilities will be revealed, raising expectations.


Meanwhile, actress Yoon So-hee, a graduate of KAIST, and science creator Exo Sam will join us as travel mates for the day. They are said to have added benefit by explaining the human desire for eternal life or a healthy life and various experiments and studies related to eternal life from a scientific perspective in an easy-to-understand manner.
