Actors Ji Jin-hee, Lee Kyu-hyung, Baek Ji-won, and Lee Min-jae are coming together for real in ‘Kik Kik Kik’.
KBS2‘s new Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Kik Kik Kik’ (written by Jung Soo-hyun, Nam Eun-kyung, Jung Hae-young / directed by Koo Sung-joon) is an office comedy drama about 10 million actor Ji Jin-hee (played by Ji Jin-hee) and former star PD Jo Young-sik (played by Lee Kyu-hyung) who establish a content production company and run toward 3 million subscribers. Actors Ji Jin-hee, Lee Kyu-hyung, Baek Ji-won, and Lee Min-jae have confirmed their appearances and are aiming for the laughter button on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
First, Ji Jin-hee plays the role of Ji Jin-hee, a national actor who was loved by the entire nation in the past and an all-round entertainer who even took over the entertainment industry. He had huge viewership ratings for every work he did and even had the honor of being a ‘10 million actor’, but all of that is just past glory and he is currently the co-CEO of the content production company ‘Kik Kik Kik Company’. Actor Ji Jin-hee, who was once a national actor and is currently the most handsome CEO in South Korea, is already giving off an extraordinary vibe as he plays the character of Ji Jin-hee.
On the other hand, Lee Kyu-hyung plays Jo Young-sik, another co-CEO of ‘Kikki Kikki Company’. He was a star PD who caused a sensation in every program he touched, to the point that his debut work recorded the highest viewership ratings of any entertainment show that year, but he had his heyday cut short due to some scandal. As time passed and the era of big content arrived, we look forward to Lee Kyu-hyung’s acting, which will vividly portray the strange story of PD Jo Young-sik, who has joined hands with Ji Jin-hee, who left him with fatal PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), in order to navigate the era of big content.
Baek Ji-won plays the character of Baek Ji-won, a dedicated therapist for the ‘Kikki Kikki Company’. A person with an extraordinary record who suddenly entered a temple and devoted himself to spiritual training after living an extremely ordinary life. No one knows how he came back to the secular world, but Baek Ji-won‘s extraordinary hands that comfort the tired minds and bodies of the ‘Kikki Kikki Company’ family are expected to reach even the living rooms.
Lee Min-jae takes on the role of Lee Min-jae, the epitome of workaholic MZ, and is responsible for the future of ‘Kikki Kikki Company’. He is a so-called ‘fraudster’ with overflowing imagination and determination, and is ambitious yet calm, curious yet focused. Although he has the optimal conditions as a content creator, he experienced the bitter pain of his first content creation in his life, and despite that, he continued to challenge himself and became a member of this group as if by fate. Among the so-called ‘latte’ owners, Lee Min-jae’s passion that will breathe fresh air is drawing attention.
Like this, ‘Kikkikkik’ is expected to present lively energy as a situation in which the old national actor Ji Jin-hee and the old star PD Jo Young-sik, who have deviated from the orbit of youth that seemed eternal and success that seemed endless, regain their prime. The first episode of ‘Kikkikkik’, which will definitely give a ‘kick’ to the slackened laughter cells, is already anticipated.
KBS 2TV‘s new Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Kikkikkik’ will first air on February 5, 2025 (Wednesday) at 9:50 PM.
