Kim Young-min, formerly of group Taesaja, recalled the past when he was obsessed with games after the team ended its activities.

On the 10th, a video titled ‘[Meet Taesaja Kim Young-min] After being evaluated as ’the best visuals of all time‘, he disappeared for 3 years... What game was he into?’ was uploaded to the YouTube channel ‘Current Status Olympics’.

When asked “Why did Taesaja suddenly end its activities?”, Kim Young-min answered, “The reason why the atmosphere of the album was a bit different then and now is because the amount of money that had to be invested in the 1st and 2nd albums was not small. Because of that, if one or two albums did not go well, there were many cases where they just faded away.”

He continued, “The 4th album didn‘t receive much attention. In reality, if you could tell how much the IMF felt, if you appeared at an event and received 10 million won, it decreased to 3-5 million won after the IMF. If there were 10 jobs a month, it was reduced to 3. It was a huge blow.”

When asked, “Did you settle the accounts properly?” he said, “Actually, half did and half didn’t. There had to be a contract, but at the time, it was like a community of destiny, so if the office was in a bad situation, they didn’t have to give it to us either. In the middle, someone would stab me in the back for money, and this process was mixed up, so the office and we were both hurt. We both suffered a lot.”

When asked how he was doing after his promotions, he said, “I really wanted to be a singer again. It didn’t work out. I had an image that didn’t go well, and I thought broadcasting didn’t suit me. I had to act like a fool or act foolishly. It was so overwhelming.”

He said, “I quit and wandered around for a long time. I played games day and night for 3~4 years. World of Warcraft (WoW) I’m probably the first gladiator who started out as a celebrity. I was even invited to the world championship, but I was so embarrassed that I was just having fun. The reason I liked games so much was because I wanted to forget the situation where things weren‘t going well for me as a celebrity. I felt like I was going crazy,“ he confessed.
