Singer Jin Simon‘s second son has passed away.

On the 12th, MBN’s ‘Special World’ revealed the current status of singer Jin Simon.

Jin Simon mentioned his second son who passed away from a heart attack. His second son, who was running a clothing business in the Philippines, passed away three months ago at the age of 26 from a heart attack. Jin Simon confessed, “My youngest son was studying abroad and was busy living a social life there. Then, he suddenly passed away from a heart attack.”

Jin Simon met his mother on the show that day. When asked, “Have you cleaned out the things you used abroad?” Jin Simon bitterly replied, “I just came in a hurry. I didn‘t have the presence of mind to take care of anything at the time.” He also said, “It was hard just being there, so I wanted to clean up his belongings and bring him back to Korea quickly.” The mother also expressed her longing for her grandson and worry about her son, saying, “If you don’t go out and stay still, all I can think about is that kid. Live a busy life.”

Jin Simon formed a duet with Kwak Chang-sun a year ago and is currently active. Kwak Chang-sun said, “When I see him handling his schedule, I wonder how he can do that. As a man and a father, I felt sorry for him, but now he‘s regained his energy and is back to his old self, so I’m thankful.”

Jin Simon said about the reason why he deliberately stays busy after going through great pain, “This kind of thing happens to me too. It was hard,” and added, “I live busy and try everything, but when I‘m alone or something like this, I think about it. I still can’t believe it,” adding to the pity.

Jin Simon returned to Seoul and finished up his schedule and met his 29-year-old eldest son. His eldest son became an international lawyer after studying abroad for a long time. Jin Simon lived as a goose father for 12 years to educate his two sons.

Jin Simon said, “I sent them to study abroad every year, and they liked it,” and “The person who made the biggest sacrifice was the one who stayed behind. The loneliness felt different every year, two years, and three years. Then, depression set in,” and he looked back. During that process, he said that his opinions differed with his ex-wife and they even divorced.

Jin Simon told his eldest son, “My youngest son went to heaven, and I became dependent on and obsessed with you, the only father left. I contact you because I‘m worried that something might go wrong. I’ve developed a trauma that I didn‘t have before. My heart starts pounding if I don’t answer the phone a few times. It‘s not just you, but people around me too. Life, people’s lives, are fleeting.”

He also said, “Because we were apart, we couldn‘t even sleep in the same bed. I regret it and I feel like I’m crazy. I feel like I created something that my family didn‘t have to go through while living apart. He regretted the past, saying, ”It’s hard.“ He also added, ”We were talking about going on a trip for two days and one night when the three of us met this time, but after that happened, it really felt like the sky was falling.“

Jin Simon sat in front of a tree with his second son, Soo Mok Jang, and repeatedly expressed his longing for his son until the end, saying, ”I‘ll come often.“
