MBC‘s new Friday-Saturday drama ‘Motel California’ (directed by Kim Hyung-min and Lee Jae-jin, written by Lee Seo-yoon) is a first love remodeling romance about a woman who was born and raised in a motel in the countryside and reunites with her first love in her hometown she ran away to 12 years ago. Lee Se-young plays the role of ‘Ji Kang-hee’, an interior designer who has not lived an easy life, and Na In-woo plays the role of ‘Cheon Yeon-soo’, a veterinarian whose life is turned upside down because of her first love Ji Kang-hee whom she reunites with after 12 years.

On the 18th, the production team revealed Cheon Yeon-soo’s appearance during his ‘120kg Kang-hee Baragi’ days. In the drama, Cheon Yeon-su is a character who was called ‘Bear’ by her first love Ji Kang-hee since childhood. In the photo, Cheon Yeon-su is wearing thick horn-rimmed glasses and has an immature expression. She is obese, weighing 120 kg at the time. Ji Kang-hee called her ‘Bear’ for this appearance.


The production team also revealed the process of transforming into Cheon Yeon-su, who weighs 120 kg, in a making film. Na In-woo, who plays Cheon Yeon-su, received special makeup for about 2 hours.

Special makeup artist Lee Hee-eun said, “I paid attention to making her look as natural as possible without making her look too fat. “Na In-woo said, “There are times when it‘s hard to express facial expressions when doing special makeup shoots. So I’m trying to express it so that the expression is visible,“ he said. ”It‘s strange and fun to see myself when I’ve gained weight. There are many cute and fun scenes when I put on makeup, so please show a lot of interest.“
