LG Uplus content studio STUDIO X+U has confirmed the production of the mid-form drama ‘The Hunter with a Scalpel’ and revealed a cast lineup filled with different charms.

LG Uplus STUDIO X+U‘s ‘The Hunter with a Scalpel’ (directed by Lee Jung-hoon / written by Jo Han-young, Park Hyun-shin, Hong Yeon-yi, Jin Se-hyuk) is a crime psychological thriller that tells the story of genius forensic scientist Se-hyeon, who discovers traces of his father’s murder while performing an autopsy and goes on a hunt to catch his father before the police in order to hide his past that he wants to erase.

Among them, Park Joo-hyun, Park Yong-woo, and Kang Hoon have been confirmed as the main characters who will lead ‘The Hunter with a Scalpel’. The role of ‘Seo Se-hyeon, a genius forensic scientist who chases after her serial killer father in order to hide a past that she wants to erase first, has been taken on by actress Park Joo-hyun, who has proven her wide acting spectrum. Park Joo-hyun is expected to leave a strong impression with her three-dimensional performance of the complex inner self and emotional range of a character on the borderline between good and evil.

Actor Park Yong-woo takes on the role of psychopathic serial killer ‘Yoon Jo-gyun’, who is passionate about human dissection. Park Yong-woo, who has garnered attention for his amazing performances that multiply the charm of his characters with his unrivaled acting skills in every work he has appeared in, including the movie ‘Decision to Break Up’ and the drama ‘Tracer’, has transformed into a brutal serial killer, heralding the birth of an all-time villain character.

The role of ‘Jung Jung-hyun’, the leader of the violent crimes unit who becomes entangled with Se-hyun while investigating the murder case, is played by Kang Hoon, who recently rose to stardom with the drama ‘To My Harry’. Kang Hoon will add to the immersion of the drama by multi-layering the psychological changes of Jeong-hyeon, who believes that human nature is good, with his excellent character digestion and his characteristically delicate acting.
