Actress Gong Hyo-jin is back.

As if proving that age is just a number, the one with the nickname ‘Gongvely’ has made a comeback in 6 years and is fully displaying her charms. In particular, her lovely charm that has not changed even after marriage is a bonus.

She is scheduled to show off the box office power of the ‘Romance Queen’ through the tvN drama ‘Ask the Stars’, which will be aired for the first time on January 4th next year.

The drama depicts the love story between Eve Kim (Gong Hyo-jin), a boss working in a zero-gravity space station, and Dinosaur (Lee Min-ho), an uninvited guest who sets out on a space trip with a secret mission.

The script was written by Seo Sook-hyang, who wrote ‘Pasta’ and ‘Jealousy Incarnate’, which are considered Gong Hyo-jin‘s representative works.

At the drama production conference held at The Saint in Guro-gu, Seoul on the 18th ahead of the first broadcast, Gong Hyo-jin said, “When I first read the script and started filming, I thought, ’How long will the post-production take? ‘ We filmed for a full year. I’m glad it will be released in 3-4 years.”

Gong Hyo-jin married Kevin Oh in 2022, while she was busy filming the drama.

She said, “I couldn‘t postpone the wedding because I thought it would take a long time for the drama to air. I asked for their understanding and got married.” “The drama team was very considerate, so I was able to go for exactly 10 days. During that time, (Lee) Min-ho worked hard on filming. When I came back, everyone congratulated me, so I was really happy.”

She continued, “Actually, I thought it was hard while getting married and filming, but I was happy that I could do a ‘ro-com’ like this even after getting married, and it was especially good that I got to do a ‘ro-com’ with Lee Min-ho since it was my first project after getting married.”

In the drama, Gong Hyo-jin plays the role of a space station commander. She is a leader who is responsible for everything that happens on site.

She said, “The writer said, ’You‘re the leader this time,’ and was surprised. I asked, ‘Really? This is my first time playing a character like this,” and explained, “He is the least interested in humans among all living creatures, and he is a rat doctor in charge of research on species reproduction. He is a character who is crispy on the outside but overflowing with respect and love for life.”
