On the JTBC show ‘Divorce Consideration Camp’ that aired on the 19th, the story of a husband who habitually cheats and an American wife who suffers from depression because of her husband was revealed. The couple received psychiatric counseling as their first solution. Psychiatrist Lee Kwang-min diagnosed that the husband’s overly honest words and actions that hurt his wife were ADHD symptoms, and said that the prefrontal cortex function that controls appropriately was impaired, so it was “like he had no prefrontal cortex.” The husband, who was shocked to learn that his problems were influenced by ADHD, shed tears reflecting on his past words and actions and showed his will to change when he heard that his wife was the only person who could control him.

Next, in the couple‘s psychodrama solution, the husband spent time reflecting on himself while receiving the same behavior that had hurt his wife. The couple’s usual appearance was reenacted by psychodrama specialist Kim Young-han, Park Ha-sun, and Jin Tae-hyun, and they began mirror therapy. The husband could not hide his distressed expression as he was compared to a passing man and even had to take care of his appearance. Also, the husband reenacted the affair incident and burst into tears, finally realizing the hurt his wife had felt.

It remains to be seen whether the couple will be able to understand each other‘s feelings and heal their wounds through future solutions.
