On that day, the producers RG Company and CJ ENM apologized through their official SNS, saying, “The performance today at 2:30 PM has been canceled due to health reasons of actor Choi Jae-rim who plays Cyrano,” and guided the refund process. They said, “We hope for a speedy recovery for actor Choi Jae-rim, and once again, we apologize for the inconvenience caused by the sudden cancellation of the performance. We ask for your generous understanding.”

The problem is that Choi Jae-rim has other performances scheduled for this coming weekend. Choi Jae-rim is scheduled to perform the musical ‘Kinky Boots’ at 2 PM and 7 PM at Seongnam Arts Center in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do on the 21st. He is also scheduled to perform the musical ‘Chicago’ at 2 PM and 6:30 PM at Busan Citizens‘ Hall Grand Theater on the following day, the 22nd.

Choi Jae-rim has recently raised concerns among musical fans due to his excessive overlapping appearances. On tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block’ that aired last month, he said about his prolific career, “I think that time has come. There is a time to learn skills, a time to mature this learning, and now there is a time to show skills as a player. Right now, I feel like I am running hard because it is the time to show skills,” he confessed. He also revealed his will, saying, “The time when many people come to see me will pass, but if I have the opportunity to stand on stage, have the time, and have the stamina and will, I want to show more.
