In ‘Jun Hyun-moo‘s Plan 2’, Jeon Hyun-moo showed off his fantastic chemistry with his ‘best friends’ Jang Ye-won and Lee Sang-yeop while going on a winter food trip.
In the 10th episode of the full-fledged street food documentary ‘Jun Hyun-moo’s Plan 2’ (jointly produced by MBN and Channel S) that aired on the 20th, the 28th street food special ‘Taste of Winter’ was declared, and Jeon Hyun-moo‘s ‘food friend’ announcer Jang Ye-won and his ‘new groom’ Lee Sang-yeop, who is in his 9-month marriage, were shown filling in for Kwak Tube (Kwak Jun-bin) and being very active. Not only did they completely eliminate the ‘dislikes’ of the chueotang world with the ‘Gochujang Chueotang’, the ‘Tofu Restaurant’ that led to Jeon Hyun-moo’s return visit, and the legendary Ok Halmeoni Dongtae Stew Restaurant, they also provided endless fun and useful information with the ‘real friends’ talk tiki-taka.
Jun Hyun-moo appeared alone that day and opened the door to the ‘Taste of Winter’ epic journey. Afterwards, they headed to the ‘Gochujang Chueotang’ restaurant that is only open for 4 hours a day. After taking a seat in the restaurant, he ordered one each of the finely chopped loach chueotang and the whole loach stew, and shortly after, Jang Ye-won appeared as his ‘eating friend’, delighting them. Jang Ye-won said, “Today is a fateful day for me, a historic day,” and suddenly asked, “What do you look for when you go on a blind date?” Jeon Hyun-moo immediately replied, “Face,” giving a ‘100% honest’ answer. After laughing for a while, Jang Ye-won said, “First impressions are really important, and I don‘t have a good first impression of chueotang. But if I eat well today, I think I’ll be remembered as ‘chueotang=Jeon Hyun-moo’.”
Immediately after, when the ‘Gochujang Chueotang’ came out, the two of them carefully tasted it and smiled with satisfaction, saying, “It smells like gochujang stew,” and “There‘s no fishy taste at all.“ During the passionate eating show, Jang Ye-won said, ”It’s been 3~4 years since I started working as a freelancer. At that time, I was grateful that Jeon Hyun-moo analyzed the market situation for me.” In response, Jeon Hyun-moo said, “When you came out (as a freelancer), the atmosphere was such that if you got married, you were forced out half voluntarily and half involuntarily. But Ye-won was young, single, and competitive, so I thought it would be a good idea for her to come out.” In response to Jang Ye-won’s warm analysis, she said, “Jeon Hyun-moo is better at giving advice than I thought. My brother’s strong point is that I can talk about it all day long.” She continued, “My brother has a really nice voice. Sometimes I call him at once, but an hour and a half has passed by the time I hang up. His basic tone of speech is affectionate, and that’s his greatest strength.”
At this point, the long-awaited tongchueotang (fish stew) arrived. Jang Ye-won was nervous and said, “Are you keeping me challenging you?” and Jeon Hyun-moo was also scared and said, “Why are there so many spots on a loach? Is it a Dalmatian?” However, the two who mustered up their courage and tasted it said, “It‘s charming”, “It’s so delicious” and their pupils dilated. After Jang Ye-won, who successfully overcame her trauma, left, Jeon Hyun-moo moved to a “tofu restaurant.” Here, Jeon Hyun-moo met Lee Sang-yeob and quickly finished scouring the restaurant for a return visit that had his autograph hanging. After the two were seated, all the food was served, and Lee Sang-yeob tasted it and exclaimed, “It has a rich flavor.” Afterwards, as the two people who ate the “Tofu Samhap” naturally got excited, Jeon Hyun-moo pointed out, “There was a time when I bought a tofu noodle when I was dieting.” Lee Sang-yeop said, “It would be perfect if we had makgeolli here. After getting married, I drink at home.” Jeon Hyun-moo asked, “Isn‘t (drinking) allowed?” and Lee Sang-yeop gave a straightforward answer, “It’s fun when (my wife) and I drink.” Jeon Hyun-moo asked again, “Is it too good?” and Lee Sang-yeop paused for a moment and replied, “It‘s fun.” Jeon Hyun-moo pointed out, “Why is there a pause between each question?” and Lee Sang-yeop said, “Uh... I thought you were watching,” and then turned the scene upside down by looking at the camera and seeming to ask his wife, “Are you doing well?”
After “clearing it all” including the tofu fried in sesame oil, the two headed out to eat Grandmother Ok’s “Dongtae Stew” for the next course. The two were happy as each dish, including ssungnyung, 10 kinds of vegetables, kkanjang and minari soy sauce, and pollack stew, came out, saying, “It feels like I’m at my grandmother’s house in the countryside.” In the end, the two added broth from the pollack stew and exploded with their “mukbang potential” by mixing rice with the kkanjang and wrapping it in minari soy sauce and grilled seaweed. At this time, Lee Sang-yeop absentmindedly said, “You should come here with your parents,” to which Jeon Hyun-moo retorted, “You’re newlyweds. If you come to a nice place, don’t you want to bring your wife?” Lee Sang-yeop showed off his “loving husband” side while looking at the camera, and Jeon Hyun-moo attacked him again, saying, “Don’t you even think about your mother-in-law?” Then Lee Sang-yeop said, “Mother-in-law first...” and then complained, “I‘m so tired,” making everyone laugh.
After they finished eating, Jeon Hyun-moo asked them a closing question, “How was it doing on a show together today?” Lee Sang-yeop then said, “Are you going to my house?” with regret, and Jeon Hyun-moo replied, “Why don’t you go home? Married men are really funny,” and burst out laughing. Lee Sang-yeop then said, “Next time, please do it for 2 nights and 3 days,” and knelt before the production team. Lee Sang-yeop then said, “I like chicken ribs. He appealed, ”Call me when you go the farthest,“ and made everyone laugh until the end.
After the departure of ‘New Groom’ Lee Sang-yeop, who exploded with entertainment potential with his unexpected eccentricity, the food trip scene of Jeon Hyun-moo and ‘Eat Friends’, who went to another winter restaurant, will continue in the 11th episode of ‘Jeon Hyun-moo Plan 2’, which will air on MBN and Channel S at 9:10 PM on the 27th (Friday).
