The special teaser for the new SBS drama ‘Tri: We Become a Miracle’ (written by Im Jin-ah and directed by Jang Young-seok) has been released.

‘Tri: We Become a Miracle’ (abbreviated as ‘Tri’) is the story of Joo Ga-ram (played by Yoon Kye-sang), a rugby player who fell from grace due to doping, returning as the coach of Hanyang Physical Education High School‘s rugby team. It depicts the refreshing sports growth period of the perennial loser Joo Ga-ram and the perennial last place Hanyang Physical Education High School rugby team as they race towards winning the National Sports Festival. Yoon Kye-sang (as Joo Ga-ram), Im Se-mi (as Bae Ji-ji), and Kim Yo-han (as Yoon Sung-joon) star.

The ‘Tri’ special teaser was released for the first time at the ‘2024 SBS Drama Awards’ on the 21st. The released teaser video starts off excitingly by highlighting Hanyang High School’s rugby team with the humiliating title of ‘25 losses in 26 matches in one season’. Amidst the sadness of seeing the rugby team being treated like outcasts at school and being the center of numerous uproar, Joo Ga-ram joins Hanyang High School‘s rugby team.

Joo Ga-ram, who appears claiming to be the coach of Hanyang High School’s rugby team, gives off an eccentric vibe at first glance and makes people laugh by promoting himself as “the idol of the rugby world, rugby Asia Cup MVP”. However, the teachers strongly oppose Joo Ga-ram‘s appointment as coach, saying “How can you bring in a player who brought shame on the school through doping as coach?”

Meanwhile, Joo Ga-ram presents a rather absurd blueprint to the rugby club members, who are “26 matches, 25 losses”, saying, “Our goal is to win the national tournament.” He even makes them do aerobics, trench fighting, soccer, and other incomprehensible training exercises, showing unfounded confidence by saying, “No one in Korea is as good at rugby as I am.”

In response, Yoon Seong-jun, the captain of the rugby club, rebels, and Bae Ji-ji, the shooting club playing coach and Joo Ga-ram’s ex-girlfriend, also disturbs him. However, Joo Ga-ram sublimates his hardships and adversities into laughter.

In addition, the sight of Joo Ga-ram and the Hanyang Physical Education High School rugby club, who have gone through all sorts of incidents together and have gradually become a proper team, makes viewers curious about how the story will unfold in the future.

‘Try’ is scheduled to premiere on SBS in 2025.
