Episode 183 of tvN‘s ‘Naked World History’, which will air on the 24th, will explore the deep sea, a place that mankind has not been able to conquer.
According to the production team, the Jeju Research Institute Director of the Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology and Professor Kim Dong-seong of the Department of Ocean Science at the National Korea Maritime and Ocean University will appear as lecturers. Professor Kim, who studies marine ecosystems in depth, plans to reveal in detail the history of deep-sea exploration that we did not know in his lecture that day.
Professor Kim Dong-seong explains that the deep sea has been considered a place essential to human survival since ancient times, but also a space of death. He says that although food had to be obtained from the sea, it was also an object of fear because it was a deep and dangerous unknown world. In this way, despite being afraid of the sea, mankind succeeded in deep-sea exploration after a long challenge and discovered various deep-sea creatures.
Professor Kim Dong-seong will reveal the existence of mysterious deep-sea creatures as well as the identities of rare treasures. He will talk about deep-sea resources that will reveal the secrets of human birth, aging, illness, and death, including legendary treasures that have excited the world. You can also learn about the hidden stories related to the deep sea, including the silent war between powerful countries to monopolize the deep sea, on this day’s broadcast.
Meanwhile, Hwang Chung-won, a former member of the Navy‘s Marine Rescue Squadron SSU, and Kim Jeong-hoon, a former reporter for the children’s science magazine ‘Science Boy’, will join us as travel mates for this day. Hwang Chung-won draws attention by sharing his deep-sea diving experience and the dangers it poses. Kim Jeong-hoon is said to have added to the lecture‘s usefulness by sharing his rich knowledge of the deep-sea environment and deep-sea resources.
The broadcast will be on the 24th at 10:10 p.m.
