‘The Lighting Store’ writer Kang Full mentioned his plans for ‘Moving 2’.

On the afternoon of the 24th, writer Kang Full of the Disney+ series ‘The Lighting Store’ met with Donga.com for an interview and talked about the work at a cafe in Jongno-gu, Seoul.

On this day, regarding the casting of actor Park Jung-min, who appeared in the ‘The Lighting Store’ cookie video, writer Kang Full said, “I talked to Mr. Park Jung-min three years ago. I talked to him before we started filming ‘Moving’. Actor Park Jung-min readily agreed to do it. While I was writing ‘The Lighting Store’, I said, ‘The time has finally come’. I also talked to actress Go Yoon-jung and she readily agreed to come. It was something I had in mind from the beginning. He explained, “There were more scenes, but I just compressed the lines.”

He continued, regarding the plans for ‘Moving 2’, “Since ‘Lighting Store’ ended last week, ‘Moving 2’ will probably be a different story. We’ve laid out a lot of bait. We were able to do it because ‘Moving’ did well.”

Regarding the serialization of ‘Hidden’ that many Kang Full fans are waiting for, he said, “First of all, I was wrong. I think I’ll be working on the script for the time being. I didn’t know I would be writing a script like this. I thought I would be a cartoonist my whole life, but somehow this ended up happening. I might go back to being a cartoonist one day. Even when I’m writing a script, I think about going back to being a cartoonist.



When asked which character he loved the most among the characters he created while working, writer Kang Full replied, ”It‘s hard to pick just one. I’m not avoiding the answer, but I have affection for all the characters, so my goal is for the characters in the dramas and comics I‘m writing to die a natural death. I hope that happens.“

Regarding the next season of ‘Moving 2’ as well as ‘The Lighting Store’, which received a lot of love this time, writer Kang Full said, ”I don’t know. I didn‘t have the heart to weave the worldview that I created, the Kang Full Universe. I have such strong affection for the characters that other works kept coming out and becoming worldviews. I became more affectionate toward the characters in ‘The Lighting Store’. This is a closed and finished story,” he explained, adding, “I’ve talked about this and that with the actors, but I can’t guarantee anything. But I’m in the mood.”

Lastly, writer Kang Full said about the plans for ‘Moving 2’, “I announced the production, so now I have to write it. I’ve thought about it to some extent. It’s not concrete yet. This is the last schedule for ‘The Lighting Store’, and I think I’ll write ‘Moving 2’ when I get home. I’ll try my best not to do it too late. I definitely have to write it all within the next year. It’s possible.”, raising expectations.

Meanwhile, ‘The Lighting Store’, which was first released on the 4th, depicts a story that unfolds when customers with suspicious secrets visit ‘The Lighting Store’, the only place that lights up a dark alley. Four episodes were released on the 4th, and two episodes were released every week for two weeks thereafter, presenting all eight episodes.

It is the fifth work in writer Kang Full’s ‘Mystery Psychological Chill’ series and is based on the webtoon of the same name ‘The Lighting Store’, which has surpassed 150 million cumulative views.
