Go Hyun-jung embraced the wounded trainee Ryeo-woon.

In the second episode of the Genie TV original drama ‘Namib’ (written by Eom Sung-min, directed by Han Sang-jae, Kang Min-goo) aired on the 24th, Kang Soo-hyun (played by Go Hyun-jung) and Yoo Jin-woo (played by Ryeo-woon) signed an exclusive contract and banded together to achieve their goal of winning the audition, which touched the hearts of viewers.

Kang Soo-hyun visited Yoo Jin-woo, a trainee who had been released from Pandora Entertainment, and offered him a contract on the condition that he win the audition. She planned to raise Yoo Jin-woo into a star through the audition and then transfer him to a large agency to make money. However, the moment Yoo Jin-woo mentioned Kang Soo-hyun‘s sick son Shim Jin-woo (played by Lee Jin-woo), the atmosphere froze and the negotiations between the two ended in failure.

However, Kang Soo-hyun did not completely let go of Yoo Jin-woo’s hand. While looking into Yoo Jin-woo, he found out that he had briefly been in a debut group in the past and that Yoo Jin-woo‘s mother owed the company money, so he decided to meet Yoo Jin-woo again.

At the same time, Yoo Jin-woo, who had lost his home and was wandering, ran straight to the news that Kang Soo-hyun was looking for him, but instead of the news of the contract he had been waiting for, Kang Soo-hyun asked him questions about his mother, and a storm began to rage inside Yoo Jin-woo.

Yoo Jin-woo had a deep trauma from his mother, who had abandoned him to the agency a long time ago and cut off contact. Even worse, his mother, whom he had finally reunited with after a long wandering, kept spewing venomous words at him, asking for money, making Yoo Jin-woo even more miserable. Nevertheless, Yoo Jin-woo desperately held onto his mother’s cold hands, doubling the pity.

Kang Soo-hyun, who was watching the scene from afar, saw Yoo Jin-woo craving his mother‘s affection and compared it to her own childhood when she clung to her father, and eventually decided to embrace Yoo Jin-woo. She then gave Yoo Jin-woo’s mother a strong warning, saying, “Don‘t come near me.”

Kang Soo-hyun, who felt a strange sense of kinship with Yoo Jin-woo who followed her, boosted his confidence with sincere comfort, saying, “Don’t try to fit in with others.” Yoo Jin-woo responded with a firm determination to work hard to Kang Soo-hyun, who suggested that he participate in an audition along with a contract with his name on it, making us look forward to the challenge of the two of them to regain their lost light.

However, Kang Soo-hyun‘s move to protect her family’s future ended up being a disaster that alienated them, leaving them with bitterness. The husband Shim Jun-seok (played by Yoon Sang-hyun), who was tired of his wife Kang Soo-hyun‘s stubbornness, eventually took out divorce papers, and as his son Shim Jin-woo watched the two fight, a precarious sense of crisis hung over the house. It also raises questions about whether the relationship between Kang Soo-hyun’s family, which is falling apart like grains of sand, can be restored.

The third episode of Genie TV original drama ‘Namib’, which will feature the life-threatening reconciliation between Go Hyun-jung and Ryeo-woon, who have the same wounds, will air on ENA on Monday the 30th at 10 PM, and streaming will be provided for free on KT Genie TV and Genie TV Mobile immediately after the original broadcast.
