On the 4th episode of KBS2‘s Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Miss Granny’ (directed by Park Yong-soon/written by Heo Seung-min) aired on the 26th, Janet (played by Kim Hae-sook) surprised everyone by calling Oh Du-ri (played by Jung Ji-so) “Sister”.
On that day’s broadcast, the past story of Oh Mal-soon (played by Kim Hae-sook) and Kim Ae-shim (played by Cha Hwa-yeon) was revealed. Mal-soon, who used to work at a royal salon, received a song as a gift from her first love, Chun-ho (played by Ha Hyun-sang), whom she met there. When Ae-shim found out, she stole the song from Du-ri and debuted, becoming a national singer thanks to Chun-ho‘s song. Mal-soon, who has rejuvenated into her 20s and started a new life, is shocked to learn that the company she signed with, Eunice Entertainment, is Aeshim’s company.
After that, Doo-ri asks her granddaughter Choi Ha-na (Chae Won-bin), “If you had to choose between fulfilling your 50-year dream or taking revenge on a 50-year enemy, which would you choose?” and ponders what choice she should make. However, when Ha-na replies, “I can‘t let a 50-year enemy ruin my 50-year dream. Isn’t fulfilling my dream the greatest revenge?” Doo-ri seems to have realized something and once again confirms her determination to pursue her dream of becoming a singer, saying, “Dreams are essential, and if revenge is necessary, it‘s okay.” Doo-ri then devotes herself to practicing dancing, making viewers happy with her rapid progress.
Doo-ri finds out that Daniel Han (Jinyoung) used to be a member of the popular idol group Ignis and that he retired from the entertainment industry due to a scandal with a malicious stalker. At the same time, Daniel was startled by an unexpected message from his stalker, “How have you been? How is your mother?” Daniel, who was feeling uneasy, suggested a meal to Doori, and Doori gave Daniel, who seemed unstable, some medicine.
Meanwhile, the mysterious woman (played by Kim Hae-sook) who looked exactly like Mal-soon was revealed to be Janet, an American citizen, revealing that she was a separate person from Mal-soon. Janet denied the existence of Doori, whom she met at Eunice Entertainment, but Janet was also seen getting into the same taxi that Mal-soon, in her 70s, rode in, drawing attention to the secret she held.
Her male friend Park Gap-yong (played by Jeong Bo-seok), who had been searching for Mal-soon who had disappeared, was surprised when she showed up looking younger. Doo-ri goes into her house and demands to know her family’s hidden feelings, and asks Gap-yong to give her clues as to why she became young and how much longer she can live. Gap-yong goes to Ban Ji-sook (Seo Young-hee) and asks her to keep Doo-ri for a few days.
At the end of the broadcast, Janet, who met Hana at Eunice Entertainment, heads to her house in a daze, where she encounters Doo-ri. The shocking ending, where Janet calls Doo-ri “Sister” in the midst of Janet, Doo-ri, and Mal-soon‘s family all gathered together, engulfed the living room theater in tension that made palms sweat. The relationship between the two and what will happen to Malsoon’s family in the future are adding to the drama‘s interest.
The 5th episode of KBS 2TV’s Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Suspicious Girl’ will air on January 1st (Wednesday) at 9:50 PM.
