National MC Lee Kyung-kyu is drawing attention by revealing the dizzying moment he collapsed from a myocardial infarction.
On the SBS ‘Lee Kyung-kyu‘s Amazing Habits’, which will air on December 29, they will look into the fear of sudden death, which increases as the weather gets colder.
Lee Kyung-kyu, who had a particularly gloomy expression when talking about sudden death, started by saying, “I have a firm grip on vascular disease”, and then made a shocking confession, “I was on the verge of sudden death”. It turns out that Lee Kyung-kyu had undergone a stent procedure in 2013 due to symptoms of myocardial infarction. It has been 11 years since then, but he is still very afraid of a recurrence.
When MC Lee Yoon-ah asked Lee Kyung-kyu, “Are you okay? Your personality still goes back and forth”,”, Lee Kyung-kyu cut him off by saying, “It has nothing to do with personality”. However, the cardiologist who participated in the recording said, “It is true that people with impatient personalities often have cardiovascular disease,” causing an explosion of laughter.
Meanwhile, the broadcast also showed a video of Lee Kyung-kyu’s blood vessels that were blocked and unable to flow at the time of his myocardial infarction. While watching the video, Lee Kyung-kyu made an unexpected comment, “This is what it means to be a saint.” He then said, “I got a stent procedure with the intention of 10 years in the future,” and joked that since he knew how to be an MC for ‘Amazing Habits, and got the procedure done in advance(?), shouldn‘t they deduct some of it from the production cost?
At the time, Lee Kyung-kyu was in severe chest pain due to his myocardial infarction and couldn’t walk well, but he went to the hospital to get the procedure after finishing the recording of ‘Bungeoppang’. Thinking back to that time, he said that it was harder to tell people to be quiet because the kids were being so noisy than to feel pain.
In the meantime, when a neurologist told him that a blood clot can expand and block a blood vessel in just 20 seconds, Lee Kyung-kyu said, “What the hemorrhagic stroke? If you put blood clot in the title, how can you not have blood clots in your body?” and blamed himself for giving the wrong title to his masterpiece, “Hemorrhagic Strike.”
Will Lee Kyung-kyu‘s blood vessels be okay after his myocardial infarction? The results can be found on “Lee Kyung-kyu’s Amazing Habits,” which will air on Sunday, December 29 at 8:35 a.m.
