‘Trigger’ Press Conference Schedule Cancelled… Aftermath of Jeju Air Plane Accident [Official]
Disney+ original series ‘Trigger’ has decided to cancel its press conference.
On the 30th, ‘Trigger’ side announced, “We would like to inform you that the press conference for Disney+ original series ‘Trigger’, scheduled to be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, January 3rd at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall, has been canceled,” and asked for the press‘s understanding. They added an explanation that a review screening will be held instead of the press conference. Meanwhile, he paid tribute to the victims, saying, “I express my deepest condolences and comfort to the victims and their bereaved families of the aircraft accident.”
At around 9:03 am on the 29th, a Jeju Air passenger plane attempted a body landing at Muan International Airport in South Jeolla Province after failing to lower the landing gear, skidding off the runway, crashing into an exterior wall, and exploding. Of the 181 people on board the plane, including 179 South Koreans and 2 Thais, 2 were rescued and the remaining 179 died.
As of 9:30 am on the 30th, 141 of the dead have been identified, and 38 are being identified through DNA analysis and fingerprinting. The identified victims will be transported to funeral homes in consultation with their bereaved families. The government designated a seven-day national mourning period from the day of the accident to January 4, 2025.
