On the morning of the 29th, a Jeju Air plane departing from Bangkok, Thailand crashed and exploded at Muan International Airport in South Jeolla Province. At the time, 179 South Korean nationals and 2 Thai nationals were on board, for a total of 181 people. 179 people died, excluding the 2 who were rescued.
