The rude attitude of the production team of MBC‘s ‘Today N’ corner ‘Isn’t It Good?’ toward the cast has come under fire.
On the 2nd, the MBC educational program ‘Today N’ viewer opinion board was flooded with posts demanding ‘Step down of the PD of the remote mountain village’. Viewers pointed out the rude words and actions of the production team and mentioned their lack of qualifications.
On the MBC educational program ‘Today N’ that aired on the 1st, a cast member who returned to a small mountain village in Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do appeared under the title ‘The Man Who Created His Own Kingdom in the Remote Mountain Village’.
On this day, the production team introduced the Hwangtobang as a special house, and when the guest said, “Don‘t you go for a mud steam bath a lot?”, the guest replied, “I don’t go often. I‘m not at an age where a Hwangtobang would be good yet.”
He also showed off his drumming skills, and when the guest explained, “As you get older, you need to move your hands and feet well,” he asked back, “Why don’t you just work in the fields?”
Then, the guest introduced the oyster mushrooms that he had grown himself. He then said, “You can‘t see these in Seoul. When he said to the production crew, “I’ll pack it for you when I go to Seoul,” the production crew said, “They have it at the Seoul Mart, too.” When the guest said, “This is different,” the guest retorted, “What’s different?”
Another guest prepared a special meal, charcoal-grilled chicken, for the production crew who visited a remote mountain village. He said, “Once you taste this, you’ll want to keep eating it…” to which the production crew replied, “I only like chicken. I only like fried food.”
The production crew experienced the yellow clay room and were satisfied while eating charcoal-grilled chicken, and the mood continued naturally, but the viewers criticized the production crew’s attitude, saying, “I felt like they were ignoring the elderly. I think they should apologize,” “I felt uncomfortable the whole time watching, such as their tone,” and “I think they should know how to respect the guest.” Attention is being paid to what position MBC will take in relation to this.
