Fabri and Leo take on the challenge of making a Jangheung seafood course meal.

In the second episode of MBC every 1‘s ‘Welcome, First Time in Korea?’ year-end chef special, which will air on the 2nd, Michelin one-star chef Fabri and assistant chef Leo will create a course meal using seafood they caught themselves in the Jangheung sea.

According to the production team, on the last day of the food tour, Fabri declares that he will make a course meal with three dishes in a row. There is a reason why he, who has been making only a single menu for the past two days, took on this incredible challenge. It is because he and Leo caught enough large fish in the Jangheung sea, the final battleground, to make a course meal and still have leftovers. The MCs are also said to be very excited about the preview of the course meal that will mark the grand finale of the food expedition, which will include raw fish, pasta, and steak.

The two friends who were a fantastic duo before the trip now show off their fantastic chemistry and start cooking. The smooth progress is short-lived, as Fabri, a ‘seafood expert chef’ with over 20 years of experience, begins a battle with an unfamiliar large fish that he is handling for the first time. With a size of 60cm and thick and hard skin that is difficult to even put a knife into, the team must go up against this ‘extremely tough handling’ fish and preserve as much meat as possible. Indeed, curiosity is rising as to whether Fabri will be able to successfully prepare a large fish that can compete with the fermented skate he met in Black and White Chef.

Meanwhile, as the seafood course gradually takes shape, the MCs are constantly drooling and licking their lips at the great transformation of the large fish they caught themselves. MC Kim Jun-hyun couldn’t contain his excitement at the feast of high-class cuisine that surpasses fine dining, saying, “I want to just scoop it up with a really big spoon.”

The broadcast is at 8 p.m. on Thursday the 2nd.
