In JTBC‘s Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Madam Ok’s Story’ (written by Park Ji-sook, directed by Jin Hyeok and Choi Bo-yoon), the movements of madam Ok Tae-young (played by Im Ji-yeon) who stands up on her own strength and protects what is precious to her and those who stand in her way unfold in earnest. The production team pointed out the key points to watch for in Ok Tae-young‘s survival scam that has entered the latter half.

According to the production team, Ok Tae-young has faced endless hardships since becoming a nobleman from a slave. Ok Tae-young almost lost her precious family members and her family’s honor, and now she is in danger of losing her husband and herself. After hastily leaving home in a situation where she would be driven to the brink of ruin, she was forced into widowhood because of her husband Seong Yoon-gyeom (played by Choo Young-woo) who did not return for seven years.
This is the work of Mrs. Song (played by Jeon Ik-ryeong) of Baek Byeol-gam, who has been sharpening her sword of revenge on Ok Tae-young for a long time, and those who wish for the downfall of Yeolnyeomun or Ok Tae-young for their own interests, and the movements of those who dislike the righteous Ok Tae-young are growing stronger. In addition, he has also encountered his former landlady Kim So-hye (played by Ha Yul-ri) who still visits him in the marketplace, so attention is focused on how Ok Tae-young, now a nobleman, will overcome these numerous hardships and protect his new life.

As Ok Tae-young takes steps forward as a nobleman, his relationship with his first love Cheon Seung-hwi (played by Choo Young-woo) becomes more entangled. The two who had a bittersweet farewell for a while, but then reunited repeatedly to help each other in difficult situations, and in the meantime, their feelings for each other gradually grew. In particular, Ok Tae-young acknowledged and confessed his feelings for Cheon Seung-hwi, and the desperation reached a peak.
However, unlike Cheon Seung-hwi, who said he would give up everything to be by Ok Tae-young‘s side, Ok Tae-young felt more responsible for what she had built. The reality is that they cannot follow their own hearts, so they have had regrettable separations every time, but the story of the two who deeply care for each other is anticipated.
