Actress Won Ji-an is being considered for the female lead in the new JTBC drama ‘Waiting for Gyeongdo’ (written by Yoo Young-ah and directed by Lim Hyun-wook).
According to Donga.com, Won Ji-an was recently cast as the female lead in ‘Waiting for Gyeongdo’ and is positively considering the offer.
‘Waiting for Gyeongdo’ is a romantic comedy about Lee Kyung-do and Seo Ji-woo, who met and fell in love when they were young and innocent at the age of 20, and what they experience as they reunite at an unexpected moment in their lives. It is the new work of writer Yoo Young-ah, who wrote ‘Boyfriend’, ‘Thirty, Nine’, and ‘Sacred Divorce’. ‘King the Land’ director Lim Hyun-wook will be directing.
Park Seo-joon is likely to play the male lead Lee Kyung-do. Unless something unexpected happens, Park Seo-joon will return to the small screen (based on channel programming, not OTT programming) for the first time in five years since ‘Itaewon Class’. And Won Ji-an has been cast as the female lead, raising expectations for her chemistry with Park Seo-joon.
Won Ji-an made her debut through the Netflix original ‘D.P.’ and left a strong impression from the start. Since then, she has appeared in ‘Boys Flying’, ‘Boys Flying 2’, ‘When You Make a Wish’, ‘My Heart Beats’, and ‘D.P. Season 2’. Recently, she appeared as the character Semi in the Netflix original ‘Squid Game 2’, and has become an actress who has attracted worldwide attention.
Meanwhile, ‘Waiting for Hardship’ will begin production as soon as casting is completed. The programming has not been decided yet. We are discussing the programming with JTBC.
