Choi Hyun-seok and Park Eun-young contributed to the victory of the challenger chef team.
In the third episode of the JTBC entertainment program ‘Please Take Care of My Refrigerator’ that aired on the 5th, the challenger chef team regained their pride by winning twice in the revenge match against the original chef team, with Song Joong-ki and Lee Hee-joon appearing as guests.
In the third episode, Choi Hyun-seok, who tasted victory as the original chef in the first match, and Kwon Seong-jun, who newly appeared, appeared as challenger chefs, completing the strong lineup of Choi Hyun-seok, Choi Kang-rok, Kwon Seong-jun, and Park Eun-young. Sam Kim also joined the original chef team, and the cooking competition between the two teams was exciting.
The revenge match between the challenger chef and the original chef began with a cooking theme suggested by Lee Hee-jun. In the artistic dishes that feel the layers, the match-up between Choi Hyun-seok and Kim Poong was realized, and in the delicious dishes of a restaurant where people have to wait in line, the Chinese cuisine master Lee Yeon-bok and the Chinese cuisine goddess Park Eun-young faced off, raising the viewers‘ expectations.
First, Kim Poong cooked ‘Kim Poong’s Masterpiece’,’ which copied Choi Hyun-seok‘s flounder and seaweed soup and Edward Lee’s tteokbokki recipe, adding to the fun. Choi Hyun-seok made ‘Seodae that rolled in with a vine’ by wrapping and steaming pork loin mousse with skate meat and frying the skin of a yellow corvina. Especially when Choi Hyun-seok used the 1-minute stop benefit given to the challenger chef, Kim Poong stopped while pouring the seaweed soup in the mixer into a strainer, appealing to his dizziness and using a trick to make everyone laugh.
The showdown between Choi Hyun-seok and Kim Poong ended in Choi Hyun-seok‘s victory, which made Lee Hee-jun, who had been busy acting and eating quickly without knowing the taste, cry. Lee Hee-jun said, “I suddenly felt an indescribable emotion, and it was good because it felt like my first time eating layered food.”
The showdown between Park Eun-young and Lee Yeon-bok, which determined the fate of the Chinese food world, stimulated dopamine. For Lee Hee-jun who hates noodles but likes seafood, Lee Yeon-bok showed off his Chinese cuisine mastery with ‘Bokbulbok’, which consists of three dishes: Tan-tan-myeon using soy milk noodles, seafood and vegetable stir-fry, and tofu and cabbage stew.
Park Eun-young wanted to try Dongpo pork, but for Lee Hee-jun who cannot eat flour, she countered with ‘Dongpo pork dumplings with meringue skin, are they meringue?’. The way the meringue, which was successfully completed with the help of ‘UNICEF’Kwon Sung-jun, Choi Hyun-seok, and Choi Kang-rok’ and the way the dumpling filling was put into the meringue and fried caught everyone’s attention.
After tasting both dishes, Lee Hee-jun chose Park Eun-young‘s dish, and the challenger chef team took home two wins. Lee Hee-jun said, “I’m a beginner at Chinese food and I’m not used to spicy noodles, so I think I liked Chef Park Eun-young’s cooking better.”
