Actor Choi Min-soo‘s wife Kang Joo-eun will be having a New Year’s vacation party with her close friends from beauty pageants on ‘4-person table’.

Today (6th) at 8:10 PM, on Channel A‘s ‘Best Friend Documentary - 4-person Table’, Kang Joo-eun will invite her close friends from beauty pageants, actors Ahn Moon-sook and Oh Hyun-kyung, and Hollywood star Kim Yoon-ji, to a New Year’s vacation party in an ultra-luxurious suite at a 5-star hotel. They plan to enjoy their vacation to the fullest, including top-notch room service.

Kang Joo-eun, who is celebrating her 30th wedding anniversary, reveals how she lives with her parents-in-law. Kang Joo-eun says, “My husband suggested we join him first. My husband mentions an anecdote about how he treats his parents so well, saying, “If my parents say they want to eat octopus, I’ll go buy a box of octopus right away,” and surprises her close friends by revealing the side of ‘Kang Joo-eun’ who tamed the charismatic Choi Min-soo.

Kang Joo-eun then talks about the hardships she experienced when she lived in Canada since she was young and met Choi Min-soo and started her married life in Korea. “I came to Korea only trusting my husband and lived as a housewife for 10 years. It hurt my pride to live only on my husband’s money,” she says, confessing the sadness of the gap in her career after marriage during her 20s when she was full of dreams. Then, she reveals her success story of achieving annual sales of 60 billion won through home shopping activities that she started a few years ago and earning the title of ‘Queen of Home Shopping’. Kang Joo-eun says, “It was my dream. “Now (I pay more taxes than my husband)” she says, making her close friends laugh.


She also shares an anecdote about the difficulties she had with her husband due to cultural differences in the early days of her marriage. Kang Joo-eun reveals, “My husband thought all Korean women knew how to make baekban (‘a hundred side dishes’). He wanted different side dishes for three meals.” Kang Joo-eun then says that she would flip the same side dishes over and change the bowls to make it look like different side dishes, making her close friends burst into laughter.

In a video call with Choi Min-soo, Kang Joo-eun also tries to tame her husband. Kang Joo-eun tells Choi Min-soo, “Listen carefully to what the director says. Just do your part.” He kept nagging her affectionately, and Choi Min-soo surprised his close friends by responding obediently. Kang Joo-eun also expressed her affectionate feelings by saying, “I wasn’t like that before, but now I think, ‘Is there any point in living without a husband?’”

Meanwhile, Choi Min-soo will be acting as a father and daughter with Lee Se-young in MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama, ‘Motel California.’
