The Netflix series ‘Trauma Center’ is a refreshing story that unfolds as genius surgeon Baek Kang-hyuk (Joo Ji-hoon), who used to be active on battlefields, is assigned to revive the ineffective trauma team. The ‘Violent Angel’ Baek Kang-hyuk, who saves the neglected and ineffective trauma team, and the trauma team’s relentless efforts to protect the patients‘ golden time are expected to provide thrilling pleasure amidst pleasant laughter.

‘Trauma Center’ is based on a popular webtoon of the same name that was greatly loved for its refreshing and unique development, and director Lee Do-yoon of the movie ‘Good Friends’ and writer Choi Tae-kang of [Adamas] have joined forces to take responsibility for its completion. Above all, Joo Ji-hoon as ‘Baek Kang-hyeok’ who does not yield to injustice; Chu Young-woo as ‘Yang Jae-won’, an elite fellow summoned to the severe trauma team; Ha-young as ‘Chun Jang-mi’, a good-natured 5th-year senior nurse on the severe trauma team; Yoon Kyung-ho as ‘Han Yu-rim’, the head of the proctology department who shouts ‘Down with Baek Kang-hyeok’; and Jung Jae-kwang as ‘Park Kyung-won’, a determined anesthesiology and pain medicine resident. The flawless character play of these trustworthy actors makes fans even more excited.

In the meantime, the teaser poster and teaser trailer that were released further increase expectations. First, ‘Baek Kang-hyeok’’s smile in the teaser poster is meaningful. His confident expression in the urgent operating room makes us anticipate the performance of Baek Kang-hyuk, the ‘Hand of God’. In particular, his appearance wearing a shirt and standing in front of the operating table shows his side that will do anything to save a patient, and the meaningful tattoo on his arm makes us even more curious about the path that the ‘non-mainstream’ Baek Kang-hyuk has walked.

The teaser trailer that was released together makes us anticipate the spectacular developments unique to the ‘Severe Trauma Center’. Baek Kang-hyuk, who took the stage with the question, “Is there anyone in our country who can be called a severe trauma specialist?”, is extraordinary. From the first day of his appointment as a professor of trauma surgery, Baek Kang-hyuk turned the hospital upside down with his possessed skills and unconventional words and actions, and surprises everyone once again with an unimaginable declaration of war. The fact that the severe trauma team, which was a thorn in their side as they saved more patients and ran into deficits, declared that they would be reborn as a ‘Severe Trauma Center’. Baek Kang-hyuk, who displays superhuman abilities and possessed skills in extreme emergency situations, rushes to the scene like a bulldozer to protect the golden time when life or death is at stake, adding to the thrill. Baek Kang-hyuk‘s confident lines, such as asking, “Are you impressed?” by his surgical skills, and firmly saying, “This is my territory” in the emergency room, as well as his appearance running at full speed with Yang Jae-won and Jang Cheon-mi to save patients, make us look forward to the chemistry between the ‘Team Severe’ that will unfold in the future.

Director Lee Do-yoon said of ‘Severe Trauma Center’, “It is a prescription-like work that contains laughter, emotion, action, and comedy. He emphasized, “It’s a hero movie, an action movie, a human drama, and a comedy at the same time,” raising expectations.

The Netflix series ‘Trauma Center’, which will be first introduced in the new year of 2025, will be released worldwide through Netflix on Friday, January 24.
