Singer Lee Chan-won has been selected as the MC for ‘Trot Festival’.

‘KBS Lunar New Year Special Trot Festival THE COLOR’ (executive producer Park Ji-young, director Ko Kook-jin, hereinafter referred to as ‘Trot Festival’) will air on KBS 2TV at 7 p.m. on the 29th.

‘Trot Festival’ will be a splendid festival that will prove the present and future of ‘K-Trot’ with the top trot artists representing the Republic of Korea in celebration of the nation‘s biggest holiday, Lunar New Year.

In particular, Lee Chan-won, who was recognized for his hosting skills by winning the grand prize at the ‘2024 KBS Entertainment Awards’, has been selected as the sole MC and will lead the program smoothly.

Lee Chan-won took 3rd place, Beauty, on TV CHOSUN’s ‘Mr. Trot’ in 2020 and became a star. He rose to the ranks. Since then, he received much love with hits such as ‘Sijeolinyeon (時節因緣)’, ‘A Very Good Day’, ‘Sky Travel’, and he has stood out in various fields as an MC for popular entertainment programs such as KBS 2TV‘s ‘Immortal Songs’, ‘New Release Convenience Store Restaurant’. Thanks to his popularity, he hosted the KBS 2TV Chuseok special show ‘Lee Chan-won’s Gift’ alone last year.

‘Trot Festival’, under Lee Chan-won‘s witty hosting, is expected to further enrich the living rooms on Seollal by presenting the largest-scale stage on terrestrial TV that embraces various generations and cultures.

‘KBS Seollal Special Trot Festival THE COLOR’ will be recorded at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul at 7 p.m. on the 23rd.
