Just looking at them, the solid slave corps‘ activities are gaining momentum by the day.
In JTBC’s Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Madam Ok‘s Tale’ (written by Park Ji-sook, directed by Jin Hyeok and Choi Bo-yoon), the slaves who protect Ok Tae-young (played by Lim Ji-yeon) and Cheon Seung-hwi (played by Choo Young-woo) are garnering attention as an interesting point that cannot be missed.
According to the production team, Man-seok (played by Lee Jae-won) is an icon of loyalty who has been Cheon Seung-hwi’s servant and the head of the performance troupe since the time he was Song Seo-in. With his extraordinary eloquence and characteristic slyness, he shows great chemistry with Cheon Seung-hwi and stands out. Although they bicker about everything, Man-seok is more worried about Cheon Seung-hwi than anyone else and takes care of him. He is a top contributor who adds humor to serious situations by displaying extraordinary wit.
Maxim (played by Kim Jae-hwa) also shares a warm affection for Ok Tae-young that is worthy of envy. He is the only one in the family who knows that Ok Tae-young was a slave, but he keeps a secret like an iron fist and takes care of her like his own daughter, which makes their relationship even stronger. Not only does he capture attention with his witty banter and witty antics that are steeped in the joys and sorrows of life, but Maxim‘s warm and generous nature, which cares for Ok Tae-young and his family, also warms the hearts of those who see him.
In addition, Dok2 (played by Oh Dae-hwan), another member of Ok Tae-young’s family, is Maxim‘s friend and fellow slave, showing off his extraordinary innocence and lovable charm. He laughs heartily at Maxim’s ‘affectionate greetings’, and his overflowing humanity stands out as he sublimates his somewhat lacking tact with unrivaled cheerfulness. He draws attention with his solidarity towards Maksim and loyalty towards Ok Tae-young.
In addition, the family‘s source of information and action leader, Kkeut-dong (played by Hong Jin-ki), who follows Maksim and Dok-kki like parents, works in the office of the external branch with Ok Tae-young. With a quick mouth and open ears, he is the first to hear and pass on rumors from all over the neighborhood, and he uses his connections with the neighborhood slaves to help Ok Tae-young in all aspects of his work. Attention is being paid to how Kkeut-dong’s true value, which is being demonstrated with Ok Tae-young‘s insight and extraordinary abilities, will shine in the future.
Meanwhile, ‘Mrs. Ok’s Story’ airs every Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 PM.
