Actor Jung Sung-il praised Kim Hye-soo, whom he met on the set of the drama ‘Trigger’.

At the production conference for the Disney+ drama ‘Trigger’ held at the Conrad Seoul Hotel in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 8th, Jung Sung-il said, “Director Yoo Seon-dong said, ‘If an actor is a musician who plays a musical instrument, then Kim Hye-soo is a top-notch musician,’, and I wholeheartedly agree with that.

He said, “On set, all I had to do was listen to Kim Hye-soo‘s top-notch performance from the side. It was so great from the start.”, and “Of course, I couldn’t help but feel nervous. Just acting in front of such an amazing actress was overwhelming.” He continued, “On set, he treated me like my character, and he made me feel comfortable in everyday life. He‘s a really kind person off set, too. He expressed his gratitude to Kim Hye-soo, saying, “She was the best partner from the beginning to the end.”

Jung Sung-il also said about the character of PD Han Do that he plays, “He has zero social skills and likes animals. He was originally in the drama department but was brought into the Trigger team like a parachute. He is a rookie who meets his colleagues and realizes his wit and determination, and the process of his change is depicted. You can see him as a growth-type character.”

Meanwhile, ‘Trigger’ is about a group of vicious investigative journalists who first stick their cameras in order to expose the wrongdoings of bad guys in this flowery world. The hilarious story of Oh So-ryong (Kim Hye-soo), PD Han Do (Jung Sung-il), and assistant director Kang Ki-ho (Joo Jong-hyuk), who create a popular current affairs program for a broadcasting station, unfolds.
